I think it must be clear to even the most ardent Ned haters how good he was compared to the lumbering incumbents we have now. A quality CB has to be our number 1 priority for next season I think.

I think you can say that about every position in the current team.

We miss his leadership, for sure. I still maintain that in terms of ability he really wasn't much more than an average Championship player. An average Championship that was getting paid Premiership money throughout his time with the club.

Make no apology for being a supporter of Ned.
Took way more bullets then he deserved and was in a different league to Hall and that Kant Lynch.
People said he was not leader but he was, they just chose to ignore his attributes to suit their argument. Miss him as player and captain
Paid to much by us? yes probably but as a player more then good enough but people preferred five games a season Hall and the walking error the Kant Lynch

Was never a huge fan and felt that his best season was next to Dunne in the 13/14 season. That said he is different class to what we have now and has been badly missed this season.

Not sure we miss him thattt much tbh. Better than what we have now but marginally if I'm honest. The fella was a walking gaffe. Lovely bloke and a true professional, leader but would I want him back? I'd probably say no if I'm honest.

When you consider the money paid to him for what we got back I personally don’t miss him at all. Another in a long list of players who’ve taken everything and given very little back. If onuoha was the answer I’d hate to know the question

I think that's harsh Greg. No, not the greatest but we can't blame him for the money he was on and he was prone to a gaff but he was much better than what we've got now. He gave 100% and clearly cared - not like some of the parasites we had here during his time.

If he was on £5k a week it'd be too much.

If he was on £5k a week it'd be too much. Pony. I think at one stage he was on 8 or 10 times that amount mate. Scary how badly mismanaged we were financially!

Yes Jimmy, Another one of Kia Joorabchin's clients. The same man who was also Hughes's agent.

Nothing changed though just a slow drawn out death of a once great and respected club.

that's modern day footballers for you. Both should be playing in a European league, but instead chose the yankee dollar

What a mellifluous voice Chief has, definitely a career option there. Also, not letting go of questions and not being afraid to say what has to be said would stand him in good stead. You can hear the respect and love they have for each other.

Really good listen that. Ned actually seems like pretty switched on person given how footballers usually come across. Get impression although away from club he‘S still in contact with the kids guiding them
Few of us last season said Eze was lazy so interesting to hear him admit it from his own mouth and that’s a positive as you can only change if you accept there is something to change.
I hope he goes far and in doing so we get our pot of gold. I do fear however Covid will rob us of his true value

Few of us last season said Eze was lazy so interesting to hear him admit it from his own mouth Seems he had no choice to accept that considering that "poor work rate" was the reason he was let go from Arsenal, Fulham, Reading and Millwall before the penny finally dropped. The interview highlighted that recurring theme but credit to him for changing. Thought Ned was quite cheeky but it all seemed good banter.
