General, odd to suggest I keep my opinions to myself, when this is a 'free-speaking' message board, all about exchanging views. Loftus, he didn't quote you, so I don't think he was suggesting that. My reading of his post was he was speaking in general terms, not to you or anyone on this board specifically. For me the general take away from his post (albeit using quite strident language), is that an individual's freedom of choice should be respected and not condemned, whatever that choice may be, on either side of the argument. Well, I stated earlier that I couldn't understand what the argument against vaccination was and General answered saying 'I think the argument is...' - so I think it's fair to assume he was aiming his comments at me. Which is fine, he clearly has a different view to me. |

Is it the vaccinated only, do you need to take a test before entering, do yo have to wear face masks etc etc"

Totally agree with you for what it’s worth.
Vaccine deniers/refusers can dress it up all they want but here’s the hard truth.
We live in a society and as such the majority should rule.The vast majority want to get their lives back on track while a minority want to freeload off the back of that. Basically because they don’t like being told they have to do something that they feel doesn’t directly benefit them.
All this crap about civil liberties, we won the war etc is a load of old bollox.
The freedom we enjoy today was won by people fighting and losing their lives for others. I’m sure a fair few of them didn’t want to go to war but did it anyway, for the greater good. They were asked to make the ultimate sacrifice and thank fuck they did.
The current crop of melts whinging about having a jab should be ashamed of themselves.
The point about it not being tested properly is moot. The entire world threw money at the development of the current vaccine from day 1, no wonder it’s been completed more quickly ffs.
Why? Because it’s the only way we’ll get out of this shit storm and anyone who thinks there’s an alternative needs to remove their head from their arse.

Aside from letting the virus run wild and dealing with whatever consequences come with it. the anti-vaxxers with that mindset are callous idiots no doubt about it. they dismiss like with such a free hand as if "x" disease won't affect them or their loved ones but you can guarantee they'd be crying their eyes out if they lost a loved one due to not getting a jab. the whole "it won't affect me much" mindset that people have regarding covid is dangerous and foolish. i'm sure everyone on this forum knows a few people who've had covid and i would bet my left nut that at least one of thm have had it bad. i think you had it pretty bad didn't you tarbs? i don't know what your health was like prior to covid but the point is it can and does affect people badly. my barber has/had long covid. he's 52 but in amazing shape for his age and could easily pass for someone in their late 30s. doesn't smoke, eats right and goes to the gym. when he got covid in december he was hospitalised for 2 weeks and on the brink of death numerous times. he only came back to work 3 weeks ago and last week was when he was cutting my hair, he sounded awful. like he'd been running a marathon or something. |

That’s the problem Tarbs, lots of foot stamping and protesting but no plan B apart from treating it like the flu😂 It’s almost like they believe defining something by a name will make it behave that way. What’s really laughable is that nobody is being forced to have the jab. They just can’t handle the fact that their selfish decision might actually impact/inconvenience them in other ways. They want to be able to have their cake and eat it. I have two teens who’ve treated the whole pandemic as an inconvenience. I expect it from them as like most at that age I was a self absorbed little twat too. But when you see seemingly mature adults at it there’s no excuse. The saying “If you’re not part of the solution you’re part of the problem” has never been more apt imo. |
