Luton has always been our no 1 grudge match , always a bite in the air for them ( and Oxford ) much bigger rivalry with them ,than people like Brentford . As Leighsy says its very much a mutual thing

There already saying this on Twitter that they will be waiting Will still go. Everytime I’ve been Luton there is an atmosphere and edge in the air. Would be surprised to see it moved to an early kickoff That's the way. And hopefully mob handed...

Well it's gone be busy up there that's for sure. Suspect a few will travel even though not going for the game. Just gotta hope no innocent bystanders cop a beating.

Id imagine,if one was in them circles that something will happen way before then. Id say next time they in london they may fancy a meet or just even a visit on a random game. If i was that way inclined thats what i would do. But im not,so don't get excited mr plod who are bound to be reading all boards etc. Evening officer.

Well a meet to settle is best way for them to go about it, let those inclined to settle it that way away from glaring eyes and bystanders not getting hurt in process. People going for day out to football shouldn't fear for they safety - don't want go back to those days

Hope the fella who is in a bad way is ok and recovers to full health. Was always going to be flashpoints with a game against them. It is a hard game for the police to control because of all the possible area's of conflict for those who want to but.....they failed. It was a terrible decision to let fans out together and by all accounts they were not where they should have been. Some Luton came to Rangers looking for a tear-up and from most accounts he was part of a small mob that was. If that is the case then your putting your self out there with that potential outcome. I was at the cup game and seen first hand what happened-a terrible night for some rangers who were involved and the St.pan station àffray was a catch up. They have come into the pav last time out and came this time.A few doors coming off... Rangers will have a complete travel bubble because of this at theirs...natives are rubbing their hands

Hasnt been in all my 51 years ! I bring my girls occasionally to Rangers , but i would never take them to a Luton match ,even at home .

I have to ask, what the fuck is wrong with people!?
But we've always had rivalries that boil over into violence.
In fact we've always had pre-meditated, 'cold-blooded' violence and many of those involved in it plan well in advance and look forward to it and enjoy it.
When I was a student, I had a holiday job shunting cars around the south of England for a national car hire firm. One of the mechanics was a 'football' hooligan. But actually, it had nothing to do with football, he was just hooligan, a violent thug to went looking for fights with his mates.
They'd go out looking for any excuse to start a fight - someone sitting in 'their' corner in the pub, wearing the wrong team shirt, and their biggest bugbear, the colour of someone's skin.
To him, it was 'fun' and a 'good' fight would be the highlight of his week.
I think no amount of education or legislation could persuade these people to behave in a more socially acceptable way.
If (and of course I haven't got the faintest idea) the Luton fan who was injured was has the mentality of the afore-mentioned mechanic, he'll come out of hospital and wear his scars with pride.
Depressing.

It all starts in the home, the school and the playground. Naturally you can't blame a young child that's unlucky enough to get born into such bad circumstances. If you get that upbringing and early peer influences wrong then you're usually fighting a lifelong uphill battle to rehabilitate.

Has absolutely nothing to do we your poor , mums a slag , dads I’ve had hundreds etc etc I never said that or even hinted at it. Clearly you've completely misunderstood my post. I'm talking about basic upbringing and early peer-groups. These factors are totally irrespective of things like class or wealth. All the studies bear that out - there's nothing even slightly controversial about it.

The truth is, it’s a buzz, and addictive and well fun. You never more alive than when in peril. That’s why people bang gear, do dangerous sports etc. The buzz. Life is routine, a tad dull, people hunt a buzz. Of course there better ways to get it but that’s why.

Life is routine, a tad dull, people hunt a buzz. Of course there better ways to get it but that’s why. I totally agree there is literally all races, backgrounds, jobs, classes etc that have or do fight at football. And yes, we all know that too. But the fact is if you're well raised and don't get involved in the wrong peers groups early on in life, then you're statistically far less likely to get involved in violent crime. At the extreme end, here is a good example of someone who WAS able to turn his life around after a life-long career of violent crime, murder, drug trafficking etc. It's very rare you hear these kind of stories but it's very heartening when it happens:

Right I grew up in Brentwood, now that’s not a ghetto by any means. My school was 1/2 mile from Brentwood boy’s school where Noel Edmonds, madeley, fat frank loads of twats went. Now surprisingly all schools there got on and I knew a fair few their sixth form. There was a group all from lot of money whom were top set all through school clever as fuck. But they was all ice under 5s and got in to robbing houses on lunch breaks. One got caught and bubbled rest , and a close mate of mine when raided said money all in box under bed. Exact gaffs and how much from he told them and hadn’t spent any. Anyway his dad tried to bribe judge and they all got bird. When he came out his dad had got him new car, but he told him to stick it as u didn’t care b4 I got. They all went into have good careers and all did it just for buzz as parents was rich and didn’t give a fuck what they up to.
