Well, he's worth what someone will pay for him. With 6 months left on his contract with us, it seems he was worth around a little over £400k. Fenerbahce have tied him down with a 4 year contract. I imagine he's a fairly cheap squad player as far as they're concerned and they can bide their time. If they want 5m Euros for him (approx £4.3m), I can't see why they wouldn't get that - he's not suddenly a crap player. I could see him going on loan somewhere in a 'try-before-you-buy' kind of deal. why would someone pay 5mil for someone they could have had for 400k six months ago when he has done nothing in that period to enhance his reputation. He’s at a max 3mil player he’s was well over hyped by us and the fans not half as good as many believe. Loads of pace but not an awful lot more then that They couldn't have. We were asking for more than that I believe. But they got him on a pre contract as abroad and then we sold him for pennies as we weren't playing him. |

To be honest, I can see Fulham giving him a large bonus for getting them up, because he knows this division inside out. In other words: Will be announced tomorrow just matter of time in my view Johansen? Every week that passes without him being linked anywhere else plays into our hands I think. Don't think he is gonna stay at Fulham, don't think he'll leave West London unless he gets a long contract elsewhere, and I don't think anyone fancies matching what Fulham pay him. Obvious outcome if I'm right is he comes here on a 1 year loan with a view to a longer deal on expiry. |
