On the Johansen signing I get the wage comment but go back few years And we would have said You cant have in the team a stroppy player who misses training, don’t follow the rules and is not willing to work hard!!! That player got us promoted
You can get away with almost anything if things are going well and others can see they are benefitting. It’s when things don’t go well and you have that inequality that cracks appear

You think that's a risk worth taking Westy?

For Charlie and Stefan I would try with some combination of our maximum limit for weekly wages + a signing on fee for the player upfront, and further signing on bonuses released in installments depending on number of games played, points won, promotion etc. (which is probably what they are already doing I would hope)

Could we just load those 2 signings up with a decent signing on fee to sweeten the deal?

I`ve not seen anything noteworthy about Stefan and a potential move to us in Norwegian papers so far. If Parker keeps his job, I presume we have a good chance of signing him.

Lewis Ferguson handed in a transfer request at Aberdeen, apparently Rangers and Watford are interested in him. He reminds me a bit of Stephan Johansen. Not as good technically yet, but he’s only 21 y/o

Wonder if that might affect our pursuit of our two West Brom loanees...

Wonder if that might affect our pursuit of our two West Brom loanees... I think Field is a done deal. And I'd imagine if Charlie wants to go, it won't matter who's coming in. Can't see West Brom activating the clause for the additional year if the player says he wants to leave.

Didn't have the stomach for the Championship. Looked like he'd just generally had enough in his interview after the match last night. Bloke should enjoy his retirement. He's had a good career, and let's face it, he's only gonna get phone calls about very stressful jobs. Couldn't be arsed myself.

Didn't have the stomach for the Championship. Said “I’m not long term”. Well his reputation for never being relegated has gone now and I’m certain if he’d stayed and they’d kept most of the squad they would have walked it next year so it’s a strange one. Clearly doesn’t need to work so can just sit back until Christmas when panic sets in somewhere else.

Few people linking us with Keiran Westwood on Twitter. Don't know if there is anything to it.

QPR TRANSFER NEWS: RANGERS TRACKING £1.44M ATTACKER; NOT CHARLIE AUSTIN
The latest QPR transfer news is linking the Superhoops with a highly-rated attacker from the Championship, but it’s not Charlie Austin – yet.
According to Yorkshire Live, Queens Park Rangers are in the running to secure Josh Windass this summer, with the Superhoops reportedly interested.
Windass played 41 Championship games for Sheffield Wednesday this season, scoring nine goals and registering six assists.
But with the Sheffield side going down to League One next season, there seems to be very little chance that Windass will stay with the Owls.

I wouldn't mind Josh Windass to be fair. Would complement Austin and Dykes nicely.

windass is good but is he what we need? we have dykes, bonne and kelman already plus austin incoming. then we have willock, chair, shodipo and thomas in AM/wings. would rather we put the money elsewhere tbh

And Kelman might be better going on loan. I reckon we'll bring in another striker even if we get Charlie. For sure, we'll be in for a couple of full backs and a back up keeper too.

i imagine stefan will ask to leave. he was our best player in the 2nd half of the season and surely knows that we have a squad good enough to compete. at fulham he'll be a squad player plus he only has a year left on his deal, we'll likely give him 3 years so he'll have a longer deal

Possibly - but could also be read negatively... Johansen has got to be on Prem wages for the last year of his contract - so a difficult to refuse if Parker offers him more game time back in the Championship. I guess it could be down to which players Fulham might sell to cut their budget following relegation and whether Parker can realistically offer Johansen a regular starting place.

I'd imagine there was a relegation clause mate (i.e. his wage will be lower this season than last). Don't know that for sure though!

apparently we're set to sign liverpool legend andy lonergan on a free as backup to dieng. no issue with that really as he'll be 2nd choice behind dieng and is a very experienced goalie who i imagine will be good around the dressing room.
plus he has likely saved hundreds of shots from the likes of salah and mane lol
