Think this would be a great appointment looking at the other candidates , out of the Warnock mould no nonsense manager.
Great coach , total psycho but so what , exactly what we need in my opinion.
Anyone else think this is good ?

Can you really see Pearson being able to keep his shit together with all the interference from Les and the board? You said it yourself, bloke's a psycho.

Yes i know but the other candidates are all league 1 standard Tarbs
Not impressed at all with the quality we are looking at tbh.
Looks like a League 1 manager for a potential League 1 club imho
Sorry always speak from the heart you know that but its hurting atm with our lack of ambition mate

Yes, I agree it is hardly inspiring.
What annoys me is that clubs like Norwich and Huddersfield pluck out foreign managers no-one has heard of that get them promoted so why can't we?
Billy Davies ffs

Because we have a dof and board who only look inside the uk. Embarrasing to see Sherwood (again) linked and then the dynamic duo of Appleton and Bircham as the next two favourites.

Pearson doesn't take interference well and our lot have form. Plus, this: "Despite his relative success in his two years at Leicester, he often had a very strained relationship with chairman Milan Mandaric and chief executive Lee Hoos." 5 years ago I would have said yes for sure, now I'm not so sure. He got sacked by Belgian First Division B side Oud-Heverlee Leuven after less than 5 months this year. He has too many unhinged moments for me. It would be a case of out of the frying pan, into the fire.
We need the right manager, not just one who used to be good, because we're desperate. Bowyer for me.

Bowyers not your most 'hinged' of individuals is he though Hud?

I can sort of see a young Nigel Pearson in Bowyer, when it comes to leadership. And if Pearson and Hoos are not excatly best friends, then maybe we should go for the younger version. I don`t know, it`s just a feeling I have.

Bowyers not your most 'hinged' of individuals is he though Hud? Not as a manager though Pete. He's shown himself to be cool under pressure - working with that Charlton owner must be a right wind-up - imagine Pearson in the same scenario - there's your answer.

Quite like Pearson. There’s no way they’d get out of that changing room alive if they gave too many Norwich performances. It’s clear these cunts haven’t got enough professional pride or application to look after themselves so maybe he’s the kind of boss we need. Wouldn’t take interference from the board and les though so won’t happen

Like the Pearson idea based on him making sure this shower turn up for every game which as a punter is all you can ask for.

Yes he's a psycho, but he'd be our psycho and (as others have said) could be just the kick up the backsides our current shower of shite need

Yes and once he's finished kicking our backsides, then what? I think this sadomasochism is a uniquely English trait.

Of the usual suspects on offer I would take him, My first choice would be Lee Bowyer.

Was thinking more just to get us out of our current mire, but no point making such an appointment as a temporary measure, I guess. Not that he'd agree to that anyway.

Wouldn't mind Pearson at all, takes no $hit and is proven at this level.
Personal #1 candidate is Warburton (not just as I backed him at 16s either haha) but what he done with Brentford was unreal & my Brentford supporting mates reckon he plays a great brand of attacking football.

That said, nobody we are going to be able to attract will be perfect, and if he could recapture what he did at Brentford he'd be a shrewd hire. I do wonder how he'd cope with Les though. I'm sure a big part of why he left Brentford was interference from the DoF with regards to the players they were signing.

I do wonder how he'd cope with Les Choice between Warburton and Les? No brainer. He's been a DoF himself before too and was always more experienced/qualified in the role than LF.

Yea didn't pull up any trees Tarbs but tbf Rangers is a monster job can't be compared to us and Forest were a bit of a $hit show at the time with that mad Kuwaiti in charge. As you say, we aren't going to be attracting anybody that's remotely perfect. Bit of a gamble, yes, but I think anybody will be.

Tbf I didn't realise Warburton done the double in his first season at Rangers. He won the Scottish Championship and the Scottish Challenge Cup (their equivalent of the LDV Vans Trophy). He also had an operating budget that was greater than the other 9 sides in the division added together........but I suppose you can only beat what's in front of you. Hard to really quantify how good he was at Rangers to be honest mate. The whole situation of them having to work their way up from the bottom of the Scottish Leagues with one of the largest fanbases in the world and cash to burn was very artificial.

Pearson got Leicester from a position similar to ours into the EPL and paved the way for what happened next.
We had at least two opportunities to appoint him or at least interview him before, prioir to him cooling his backside unsuccesfully in Belgium. I reckoned he'd have been decent then - which was why I suggested him - but the game has moved on. Plus he'd last about five minutes with the interference he'd be getting from people with far less experience.
The board could save a lot of money by getting this one right, but all the candidates are a bit underwhelming. Which isn't surprising. No serious candidate would come without some heavy guarantees in the contract.
