Ball does a job but not much more. Dozzell in the other hand does nothing at all offensively to warrant a start at any time. Good 3 points and nice to see us attack down the right and Adomah has to play in front of Moses.

I would start Amos Saturday and give him at least 60mins
It’s bloody Peterborough we’re facing if we genuinely have aspirations of playoffs we should be able to go there without Holding midfielder and get a result. Amos could do the holding bit and more and Johansen can play bit higher up

Field must be back soon. Johansen. Amos. Duke-McKenna. Bettache (loaned).
I'd play any of those options before pairing Ball and Dozzell. I'd wager we'd lose or draw most games with those unless serious work was done on training ground.

I can see Amos coming on at 60, not going off.

I suspect that Dozzell is tried being eased in, by given defensive duties in the team only. Poor guy, how can he then possibly affect a match alongside Ball who is not the most creative player?

The Rovers commentary on the stream I watched couldn't quite understand why everyone at Qpr apparently hates Bradley Johnson. They googled and found out about the Barton/Warnock incident about 10 years ago, and said:"They don't forget easily this lot."

Other results all went our way tonight, especially with Coventry, WBA and Reading all losing. So we remain 5th We're second highest scoring team in the division too, after Fulham. Goals against tally is dreadful though - highlighting our obvious weakness.

I honestly think with Amos and Field to come back into the 1st team, plus a couple of acquisitions in the Wing Back position, we could have a much stronger 2nd half of the season too. As a few have mentioned, we also have the option of recalling Bonne if we feel we need another option up top. You can't ignore his goal scoring form this season (even if he has looked rubbish whenever he's started for us).

And MW doesn't really do cover. At all.

Hal, clearly there is a bit of an issue with Warburton's style of play and over-committing at times. I don't suppose that will change much, but it can't be greatly improved with better personnel available. The left side isn't any issue when McCallum and Wallace are both fit, but both are injury prone. Right side, both option are positionally very poor.
Ideally I'd like a 1st team RWB and backup that can play either side added to the squad, and I'd probably shift on Kakay. Probably wishful thinking to expect that to be possible in the January window.

Ball is good for certain games but if we are expecting to have the bulk of the ball, then he shouldn't be playing. He isn't good enough on the ball to dictate a game and his touch can be erratic. However, against teams with height and who battle, he is very much needed.
Would love to see Amos play more but agree that we need to ease him back in. Seems to be going well though so he should start soon. Probably after this window of games.
Dozzell looked okay to me. He would do well next to Johansen as well and I think its a case of him finding his feet at this level with a new team. He's been stop start which is always hard but I have said it before, you can only pass forward if the movement is there. If people are static, or hiding, then you can't go forward and be creative.
