Some of the salaries being handing out by Championship sides this window are bananas. In many cases this type of expenditure may come back and bite clubs in the arse if they don't go up.
Glad we aren't following suit tbh. Recall Bonne and Shodipo, and don't send Masterson back out if that's what we need to do. Better policy that dropping 40k a week on a loan signing.

Problem is, if we try and keep up with some of the expenditure going on in this division and don't go up, we'll be in the shit. Already have Johansen and Austin on big dough, plus a massive loan fee for Gray.
I'd rather watch other clubs spend big in the hope of going up and then end up like Derby when it doesn't work out thanks.

Why are you assuming we'll be better next season with a very similar playing staff? No one is saying boom or bust, but we are in a decent position in an inconsistent division and judicious investment could reap a big financial reward. If that isn't in the plans, we need to put out the strongest eleven in the cup because its a potential income stream which is badly needed. |

We definitely won’t be better off if we don’t go up. We’ll lose 4 of our best players. Very difficult to replace them and improve, even with a few quid. |

Next season chances are Chair etc could e gone and with prices the way they are
Replacements will be hard to find if we have a similar budget.
Maybe a couple of loans and 1 purchase could do the trick.
If you have a chance you have to go for it.

Les and Hoos have both said the long term aim is to make the club self-sufficient by selling players for profit so no way can we plan to go up next season because they will accept good offers if they come in and we’ll be starting again with project players coming in to replace. |
