Same side of Chair is fit or do you switch it up a bit?

Midfield was a problem last night and Field for me did not look match fit. We are too easy to play against as no solidity in the middle of the park.

I would have Amos as starter but field appears to have jumped ahead of him

Johansen is getting picked purely on last seasons reputation. Field and Stefan offer no creativity and appear static, with both sitting too deep.

Dozzell did a lot better than Field when he came on yesterday. Either he or Amos should start.
Gray is our most clinical finisher so dunno why he's not starting too.
Albert more of a wing threat than Kakay, so ditto there.

Dare I say it but Ball is best at the dirty side of the game and would offer the defence much more protection.

Offers protection. Something the others are not great at.Would play him deeper and have Amos and Field/Johansen in front while Chair is away.

If only Duke-McKenna could get a chance... Not sure what his main position is but anyway, we need to mix things up a little now.

I’d go with:
Dieng Dunne, Dickie, Barbet Albert, Stef, Field, Wallace Chair, Willock Gray
And I would add that I think is our best team

Let's hope we're not in for the reverse of last season's season of two halves!

Agree with this. No cutting edge up front and we need to try something different.

Same side of Chair is fit or do you switch it up a bit? I'd bring Dom Ball in for a bit of bite. Wallace just way too slow. Wouldn't play him either. I'd also start with 2 up front to show some attacking intent. We never look good with a sole striker.

We never look good with a sole striker. agree on ball, limited and has errors in him but does give us a bit of solidity and steel in midfield. think amos is due a start too though as he's a more rounded ball imo. don't agree on wallace, he's experienced and links up well with chair and willock (who love playing with him) and always has a great low cross in him. not to mention we always look better with him in the side

Wallace looked knackered, can’t see him playing both Bristol and Birmingham. Probably get night off.

Wallace looked knackered, can’t see him playing both Bristol and Birmingham. Probably get night off. Exactly. Very poor the other night. Makes one half run and looks absolutely fucked and takes an age to get back into position. I admire his honest and professional approach to the game and team but this is a game for athletes and he isn't one I'm afraid.

Balls second touch is a tackle or foul we’re a better side without him imo. Dont mind him off bench to kill a game but he’s an anchor in midfield if on the park more than 20mins

Only because we’re playing them now thought this is appropriate as they have just released this
Think we got out the spending game at the right time and few clubs such as city are going face points deductions next few seasons. I hope we hold our nerves and don’t go flashing cash this Jan as with finances at other clubs if we don’t go up this season we could still be in very strong position next few seasons
Wells for £4mil and 30k a week when you could have had him free in 6months does tell you why Bristol city are where they are. Well done Rangers bailing out on this one

I agree with a lot of the comments above. Duke-McKenna sounds like he would be great at wing back. I haven't seen him play, so based purely on reports.
But, team I would pick would be
Dieng Adomah Dickie Dunne Barbet Willock
Amos Johansen Chair
Dykes Gray

Just to add to that, I think Wallace will need more rest time and you need to have attacking wing backs. Willock offered next to nothing last game so a spot on the wing could be good for him.
Wouldn't start Ball. He runs around too much (sounds weird, but keep reading) and leaves more space in behind, which is the opposite of what we need. Need someone to sit, pass the ball on and then offer proection, making it hard to reach the front men.
