Scotland team-mate of Lyndon Dykes... best know perhaps recently for some great displays in Scotland's qualifiers - and saving the final penalty from Serbia's [er, and Fulham's] Mitrovic.

Comes with ready made chant too. We’re serious then. Walsh must be gutted, big chance disappeared as fast as it arose.

very astute signing given his experience, was still scotlands number one only 6 months ago so it makes sense.
feel a bit for walsh but it does make sense. he's 19 and we're in a very high pressure situstion fighting for a playoff spot, one clanger could have fucked him up mentally.

Very good signing for the here and now. Remember him playing for Celtic in the Nou Camp in the Messi/Ronaldinho days.

Marshall coming in is perfect. Reliable, experienced, good mentality - and links with Dykes and Wallace. Could it be said that Senny has dropped off (ever so slightly) recently - having Marshall pushing him for that starting place can only be good. And Marshall's experience and nerve can only help the whole squad in general as we get towards the pointy end of the season - and the keepers in particular.

Seny has to have work to do to get back in. I'd still be starting Marshall when he gets back.

Pretty amazing how quickly he has adapted. Clear to see our defense has full confidence in him.

Thought we should have gone for him before he went to Derby. Always been a very good keeper and like how he calms things down.

Game over. Ilias is coming back I assume in time for Peterborough? What a monumental waste of time that tournament was for Chair. 31 mins of football before being yanked off. Lucky it hasn't cost us (bar poss the Swansea game). Warbs has some nice selection headaches now, not just for the goalie role.Chair has to start for us you think but then Amos hard to drop if he carries on like he played against Reading. there is no doubt for the goalie role. Play your best keeper. Marshall stays between the sticks. Simple.

Simple. would agree tbh but still a difficult choice to make. marshall is 36, out of contract at the end of the season and has no real future development at the club. dieng is 27(?), one of the best keepers in the championship (even though his form has dipped) and the best we've had since smithies. plus he has the potential to get better and has resale value. neither has put a foot wrong when all is said and done. i think it'd be harsh to drop marshall though, either way its a very difficult choice to make!

For me, Seny made the decision to go to AFCON. Knowing full well he'd likely be back up. Marshall has come in and has not put a foot wrong.
Seny is the one that now needs to fight to get the shirt back.
I'll also add that I think it's likely that some bids might come in for Seny in the summer. Perhaps we should be looking to tie Marshall up for another year.

Yes, Marshall's place to lose now.
Senny back Monday and suspect Wednesday's game will be too early for him.
After that it will be down to how they both perform in training I guess, but suspect Marshall will keep his place for the Barnsley game.
But just having him in the camp will be beneficial for Senny - both in terms of his 'education', but also forcing him to up his own game.

Loving Marshall between the sticks. More comfortable when there is experience in goal. Dieng is going to learn a lot from him and that just shows the plusses all round to this signing.
