Why don’t we ever try anything like that? I get all the praise for MW/limited squad/small budget but where’s the innovation with a dead ball?

We do try but it usually ends up in row z lol.
Tbf that was a very special goal. He caught it perfectly which is unusual.

Yeah, had a friend who played pro for Wednesday, said when you hit one of those you mean it but you’re not really in control, just catch it as sweetly as you can. Still think we could try different things occasionally.

We have tried a few things this season it just don’t come off then we all moan saying put it it box
That shot yesterday ends up in crowd like it probably does 99/100 we’re not talking about it and instead are singing what the fucking hell was that

What annoyed me about that goal was they had tried exactly the same thing with a corner or cross about a minute before and we failed to pick up the player, and again no one even trying to close him down. Andy Sinton - who is like Pravda with his "everything about Rangers is great" style - was critical of it on commentary.

Tbf I think we do try and do set pieces that catch people out. Not always, but we do try to mix it up.
As someone else said, if you do it and it doesn't come off then the fans get on their back for not whipping it in.
