Well that was shit! Tired performance for me. Swansea came quite happy to spoil and take a draw. Onwards and upwards though. Win against Reading and we are still on track. Very true. If anything, this shows that we need a striker. That one chance that donkey shat himself with, would have been buried by a good striker. Even the postman would stick that in the net. Taking that one chance in a game like that makes all the difference to going up or staying in this division. Yes. Very poor. Maybe he can get a career going in Major League Soccer.

No idea what the board's personal finances are like or whether there is any room in the club budget with FFP but think there is a really big decision to be made in the coming days. This squad has done brilliantly to get us this far against vastly more expensive competition but for many games now its been clear we don't have enough goal threat. We have been getting away with a lot of very tight wins. Our luck was bound to run out. But getting an attacking player sure to deliver goals comes at a massive premium. Be very interesting to see what they do.

How many more chances does he get this time? Well, his current stats are 1 league goal in last 13 games. In fact, he has not scored a league goal since October 29th.

Threw those two points away with that woeful and anaemic first half. Wretched midfield performance. Couldn't get hold of the ball or do anything with it. Thomas was lively when he came on. Really deserves to start Saturday to show us what he can do. Field was simply pants. Very bad day at the office. How are we nearly third in the table?

still fuming at dykes piss poor shot. any player in the squad would have put that away, the worst thing is he had a second or so to place his shot but he did exactly what i would do in that situation. panic and hit it right at the keeper then pat myself on the back for getting a shot on target.

Even though we lost 2 points today, we still have to look at the positives: 10 points from the first 4 games of the year is pretty damn decent.

Anyone still think Gray is shit? Would have buried Donkey’s chance. Him, Austin, Armstrong, Bonne etc all would have. That and Amos' were the two golden chances to get 3pts.

Gray and Chair's absence significantly showed tonight.
Marshall and Dunne were the only players to come out with any credit IMO.

I say it again, get hugil in, if cant get lawrence,id bid for ravel, You probably score more often than Hugill used to - people complain about the Dykes miss but Jordan missed a lot easier chances than that.

I agree about Amos' one and he was very unlucky.

Just one of those nights, it happens. Earlier in the season that may have been a 1 nil loss, so i'll take the point, clean sheet and continue unbeaten run. (Reading is a must win though)
We didnt play great, but neither did Swansea and in my opinion they made it hard for us to get through.
I thought Sam Field and David Marshall played superb though

End of the day we're unbeaten in 5 (4 wins) having played badly for the most part and losing 2 key players to AFCON. Last night we kept a clean sheet and ground out a point against a decent side. It's not the worst place we've ever been in. If it was a choice between playing badly and grinding out points or playing brilliantly and getting nothing its a no brainer.

I say it again, get hugil in, if cant get lawrence,id bid for ravel, Hugil isnt the answer. He's being slated by WBA as a fraud and an awful player. Dykes should have scored, or at least made the keeper make a good save. Gray would have been better and Austin would have scored it as well, but these things happen. We won't win every game. Those predicting we would get max points from the games coming up are being very naïve. Clean sheet, picked up a point, move onto Reading. On paper, a much more winable game but nothing is guaranteed in the Championship. Pretty sure it was last year, or year before. We were flying, winning a lot and then Hull came to QPR and beat us (I think it was them).

No , we can’t win every game but by not doing better against Swansea we’ve put ourselves under pressure for a banana skin on Saturday. Ok, we should beat them but it’s the Fakes big day out and we’re not great in local derbies. Suddenly 1 from 6 and there’s a few on a roll who will be on our tail. We’re having a good season, could be a great one.

I'd argue we're having a great season. 4th in the league at this stage is far far better than any of us expected, I'm not sure there are a lot of people that expected us to get anywhere near a playoff place let alone stay there most of the season.

Not being funny mate, win our game in hand and we are 3rd. I believe we have the 3rd or 4th lowest budget in the division. If that ain't a great season, I don't know what is.
I get the argument that we could perhaps spend a bit more. But I also probably value the club living within it's means more than I value another stint in the Premier League.
