I'm a fan of Duke-McKenna. Am I right in thinking his lack of game time on loan is largely down to injuries? Seem to remember reading that somewhere.

Just reading up more about Duke-Mckenna. In his career so far he's played all across the midfield, right back and even a few games at left back. That type of versatility is very useful with a small squad.

I've only seen him play once for us, and that was the league cup game v Everton. He looked like a prospect from that cameo and scored a good pen. I was therefore surprised that he didn't feature more and subsequently went out on loan. Could it be perhaps that in contrast with last season we'll see the best out of our players this season, instead of the worst?

Only seen Duke-McKenna twice and both times he was fabulous - fast, tricksy and getting stuck in. Not sure how much can be read into his time at Orient, given that he only had one start. A year's contract extension sounds fair, gives him a chance to prove his worth. Fabulous? At which level? I would be fabulous, fast and tricksy in U75 league. One of those games was in our win against Manchester United. Did not at all out of place. |

Got talent but, he’s no spring chicken any more so obviously reasons he hasn’t broken through.

He signed for us in 2020 from Bolton. After 4 years with us, he leaves, for free, to join a team in a league below the team he was originally signed from. Nothing against the lad and wish him the best, but that’s a shocking example of our set-up prior to what we hope now is a new dawn.
