Remember this very well,i started stewarding season before.
Majority of stewards in them days were R,s supporters and we had our own team.
Seem to recall we were told to let the protest take place as all were against the merger.
Thankfully the protesters won the day,if they had not we might not have been around today.Seem to recall the whole crowd applauding when they left the pitch.
Bulstrode i feel would have been good for the club in time. Thompson was arrogant and for him in the end it was about money and asset striping. Wright did try buying Sheron etc but was really more interested in egg chasing and Wasps.

To play devils advocate, what are we instead? A mid-table Championship club which is now really going to struggle to get out of this division.
