He's a fucking donkey mate. Gray scores that every day of the week. Don't understand why Gray wasn't on from the start. Neither Dykes nor Gray do anything to support the team but at least Gray might score whereas Dykes you just hardly notice he is there. I don't understand what's happened to Dykes - whatever people say about his technical limitations, when he first came to the club he was one of the hardest working players out there. Now just seems to stroll about. Chaz told him a couple of things about the strikers job. He didn't get it really, because it only worked for a couple of months and then he forgot how to work.

I'm pretty sure from both what I've heard and Warburton's quotes in the press that his contract doesn't renew if we don't reach play offs. As such, he's gone soon enough anyway. Don't see the point of him throwing the towel in now though. We should have pushed the button 4 or 5 games ago when we still had a chance of salavaging play offs. Now we haven't, doesn't really make fuck all difference what happens in the next 4 games. Unless we can land a Manager for next season early. That`s why he should have been forced to walk before season ends. A new manager would get the chance to assess the squad during the 4 last matches. That only works if the Manager we want is available Shania.

No not toilet World Cup Wouldn't surprise me if Dykes prefers playing for Scotland a lot more than playing for us. Square peg in a round hole in our system. Not defending him. He's a lazy prick. But at least Scotland play a style of football that caters a bit better to Dykes' attributes.

I know which one of the three I would prefer to have if I were Burnley, the one they have just sacked.

Short term contract and a big bonus if he keeps them up. Don't see the harm in it if I'm right. They were going down under Dyche, virtually no difference in cost to sacking him now or in the summer. Will cost them a few hundred thousand if Big Sam don't keep them up. Worthwhile punt, not much to lose.

There is nothing left in this team. Nothing. Just literally walking about the pitch, passing sideways. He has to go tonight on the beach. Safe from relegation and and know no chance of play offs Defo need review mentality of this lot close season And it's the manager's responsibility to inspire and instil that.

Dykes has to be fucked out of the club. Wow. utter garbage offers nothing. He could score hat trick in what remains and it changes nothing guys is total shit don’t know what people saw in him earlier in season Perhaps Dyche could get a tune out of Dykes :-)

We have to get Sean Dyche in asap I'd make a cheeky enquiry. I think he's the right sort of Manager to deal with the challenges we have at the club. Don't have any confidence that he'd fancy it, or that we could afford him. Don't think you could knock him if his stall was set a little higher. I also dunno about the Lee Hoos situation. I think it was Brighton who correctly pointed out this week that there was a bit if friction between Dyche and Hoos at Burnley many years back. I've met Hoos, he's a nice guy. I couldn't definitely see him rubbing people up the wrong way though. Yank, position of authority, not much genuine football knowledge, albeit probably loads of smarts when it comes to football finances.

Can blame manager Tarbs but there is also thing of personal pride Manager gives tactics, they might be wrong but none of those tactics will involve Dunne being a cunt and not clearing ball that’s simply personal responsibility I agree with you up to a point. However it's still ultimately the manager's responsibility to set the example and instil the right ethic into his players, which includes taking personal pride in their performances. Yes agreed you can never legislate for individual errors like Dunne's, but there's clearly more deep-rooted problems in the camp than that IMO.

Apart from a few woeful passes Dozzell played quite well tonight. He is one I would like to see attack better and more next season - If he`s still at the club or not going out on loan of course.

I agree Stan, can pick the bones out of performances and find individual errors, bad luck, refereeing mistakes and whatever else you want to use as an excuse. It may work as well in terms of accounting for individual performances. In the long run though, if the same issues are happening time and time again and the same excuses keep getting pulled out the bag you need to look at who's leading the ship. It's the same in every walk of life. Of course, you have the argument here whether the buck stops in the dugout or the boardroom. But we are far from the only club with that conundrum. However you dress is it up, 5 games lost on the trot when we were genuinely in the hunt for promotion is a failure for me. And I don't have the faith in the Manager anymore to pass it off as bad luck or even something he knows how to resolve. He's an inconsistent Manager with huge limitations and it's 100% time to try a different approach.

Still like Warburton. Decent guy, far too loyal to his players, too stubborn, too ready to stick when he should twist.

I really didn't expect anything from this match which isn't exactly going out on a limb after losing 5 on the trot, it turned out to be an entertaining match and the goals we scored reminded me of how we were playing at one time, it looked like we might nick it like we did in a bunch of matches early on! It is hard to say what the difference was today, formation, players picked or just odds catching up and us due a result, where was this the last several matches?

Fair play mate. Mad to see your Avatar pop up here after 3 years, how did that one come about?
I'd assumed we'd managed to get hold of any WATRB's regulars who wanted to be here.

I didn't even know about this board until recently, I wondered where everyone had gone and apparently never got the email I have never had an issue with anyone at WATRB and have posted there for years, it is just too quiet most of the time! I look forward to interacting with some old friends such as yourself here!👍

As you say, almost certain to go down no matter who takes over so surely it’s about looking more medium term as in who will get them up again. Personally I think they’ll regret their decision big time but only time will tell.

Clearly the Burnley board decided it was time for a change Itso. The timing for me looks like a roll of the dice for a few games to try to keep them up. I could be wrong though. Maybe the Manager they want long term is available now and they just decided to get it done now, on the off chance he can pull off the great escape.
