Don't think Rooney would come here. When relegated he will stay as has unfinished business.
Not sure I would want him. Hard to judge his ability in a season that has been unique with all the turmoil there.

Tend to agree Bill. I suspect he will stay at Derby. He's been very heavily involved in trying to help them attract a new owner.
I must say, I've been impressed with how he's handled himself through everything Derby have been through. Like you say, I'm not sure we'll know how good a Manager he is until we see him operate under reasonably normal conditions for a season. But I think he's done very well under difficult circumstances so far.

I’m on the fence on if Rooney has done good job myself I’m not convinced. Whilst there was zero expectation they picked up results and as soon as they got within an opportunity of realistically staying up pressure showed and they fell apart. Yoir only going be able tell if he’s any good when he gets full season when starts level playing field and has squire players then we will find out about him Perhaps we should make an approach. But wait until we relegate them on Monday as that would only be polite. would like to think we can do bit better the shrek

Rooney has proved nothing. Don't get all the talk in the media, bigging him up as some sort of miracle worker.
Give them their 21 points back and they would be 17th. Wow. Hardly an achievement considering the squad they have there.
Really looking forward to them getting the relegation they deserve.
Hopefully we get the pleasure on Monday of sending them down.

Not sure that’s entirely fair Rod - half his team would be out on loan at some backwater if they were at Rangers.

Impressed so far. Might bomb next season but can’t knock what he’s done with kids and hasbeens so far just because we hate Derby.

He’s done what everyone is Moaning about Warburton doing. Got them To point of achieving something then bottled it and fallen apart.
I’m not having him But suppose time will tell
Actually like him as person and former player so views are nothing to do with derby. Amazed if he gets another job at decent championship side once he’s left there

They say that Rosenoir, their assistant coach, is top notch. I seem to remember a player of that name played for us years ago.

Same guy ain't it Shania? Leroy Rosenior. Don't remember him at QPR, it was before my time. But I remember his later playing career at West Ham etc. He was decent.

Ah ok Shania. Didn't realise his son had moved into coaching if I'm honest. He had a decent career at this level too.

Amazed if he gets another job at decent championship side once he’s left there Wouldn't be surprised to see him stay at Derby and have them bounce straight back to the Championship. With some money behind them, the season after next will be Rooney's big test. He needs to do well to be in with a chance of the job I think he really wants, Everton. Derby deserve to go down, after the stunt they pulled last year and their mis-accounting. But I don't hate Derby, and as others have said, I think Rooney has handled himself well, with dignity and loyalty, so top marks to him.

Playing Dykes again today after doing very little in the last few games to justify his selection brings up a similar situation to MW keep selecting JoeLumley when out of form.
