I love our owners. It's the useless managers and players that continuously let us down. They're keeping us afloat with millions a year. Vitriol is directed at the next immediate target, Warbs gone, season over, who should we have a pop at next.
Evil bastards keeping us in existence at a level below prem, how dare they?

could be much worse.
they've made mistakes but have done their best to rectify that whilst still keeping us relatively competitive.
FFP limits what they can do and tbh, we're a championship standard club anyway lol.

Myself need to understand we are not the club
We used to be somewhere between
Fulham and Charlton 🤣
We need to start to face the facts we are champ at best now and probably will always be that with the current owners

I accept we’ll never win anything major but I’d be happy as a yo-yo bringing in the cash and upsetting a few big clubs occasionally. What I don’t like is the acceptance that we’ve done ok even though we missed out when it was there to have a go at. |

The days of venables ,gerry francis etc have long gone We now live in the liam manning , joey barton shop Maybe thats not so bad lol but we have to get used to it didn't we get francis from bristol and venables from palace? both were young up and coming managers from smaller clubs. its pretty much what we're doing now, same goes for players. even then we were signing players from smaller clubs further down the pyramid. did we ever bring in big name players in their prime? |

We were actually a top ten div 1 premier league
Club that was top london club three years in a row
And sold our players to liverpool tottenham and arsenal
Brentford were div 3 Fulham div 2
Wot im trying to say is we all need to be realistic now
We are not that club anymore and prob
Never will be again im afraid we older Rs need to accept it

overachieving though imo gen. leicester won the title, newcastle finished 5th, bournemouth and reading both finished 9th at some stage. even coventry were a top division club for 34 consequetive years which irc is longer than our entire stint in the top flight. i think we've only spent something like 26 seasons in the top division in our entire history.
lots of teams have good runs for a few years is my point.

Given we didn't get to Division One, albeit for one season, until 1968, spending 26 season in the top flight since them is a pretty good achievement, considering our size and what went before. |
