When they announce breaking news so and so has signed the photos for that player were done the day before or at least many hours before.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings but I think we’re edging closer to his departure.

Had an interesting text from someone at Rangers.
Apparently the 'decision makers' are in disagreement about the possible outcome.
Sounds like a couple are saying if he wants to go then go. We don't want people that don't want to be there.
Others saying refuse permission and tell MB he has a job to finish and him going causes to much destabilisation in the squad.
Kind of agree with both. Problem with the second point is he will just resign and I'm not sure where that leaves us compo wise.

He's been linked with Wolves, Villa and Rangers in the 5 months he's been here and he's wanted the opportunity to speak to 2 of those 3 clubs. By simple maths, that means we can expect him to interview for 4 to 5 jobs a year until one pops up he fancies.
Not being funny, in any walk of life you wouldn't want a member of your leadership team openly keeping an eye out for his next job like that. And that's before you consider the fact the media are all over his every move.
A serious chat needs to happen behind the scenes if Beale wants to stay. Can't have a manager in place who's future is constantly uncertain. Not good for anyone at the club.

Problem with the second point is he will just resign and I'm not sure where that leaves us compo wise. he can't just resign and his contract would say as much. he'd be on a guaranteed contract were our obligation is to pay him and his obligation is to do his job. in the event he resigned he'd either need to personally stump up the cash to buy himself out or it'd have to be a mutual decision. if he decided not to show up to work in protest then he'd get fined and eventually taken to court to pay damages which would cost him even more than just buying his own deal out. football contracts are ironclad and very difficult to get out of without both parties agreeing to it or one party paying the other one off. |
