Btw the article Clive of LFW (sorry to reference another forum gents!) has written on the subject is an absolutely incredible read & well worth 20 minutes of anybody's time. Some fantastic points made.

Some fantastic points made. It was an eye opener and totally dismantles Mr Loyalty's claims after Wolves. Also shows how he plotted his return to them in a very calculated way. That club and him are made for each other.

If he resigned I take it we didn’t get compo? he can't resign unless we accept his resignation. football contracts are hugely different to our everyday normal employment contracts. any one of us could walk out of our job right now regardless of if we had a fixed term contract, but we could end up getting hit with a bill for a temporary worker. in football contracts though a resignation has to be a mutual agreement as the contracts are guaranteed with lots of caveats. its the same reason why managers get a big payoff when they're sacked.

Apparently the average championship managers wages are 850k a year
150k in Division 1
That"s 70k a month
1.5 million compo will pay for a manager for a 2yr period only approx

Personally don’t think we progressed at all under beale. Think we have treaded water not better not worse no tangible difference at all His legacy is better full backs (although their performance level dropped lately) and improved Sam Field. One of those is a loan, so not a massive legacy. I would add, tbf, that we move the ball faster. That's about it.

Shame though as it'll scupper any chance of Beale signing him now 😆

I would add, tbf, that we move the ball faster. That's about it. That alone is a massive improvement vs Warbs, no way am I getting misty eyed over the old city trader. Beale can coach, but he loves himself that bit too much and plenty of GR are aware of the pitfalls of getting into bed with him. I still don't know if he was cross examined by any journos at his unveiling, but this is a satisfying read and highlights his ego: www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2022/nov/29/mick-beale-is-a-cosy-appointment-when-rangers-need-a-ruthless-rebuild

He was on Sky earlier and you can instantly see the bloke has got what he wanted since he left last year. He did use the line of being "all in" which sums the man up. Wrong un and now in the best place for him Ibrox.

Beale going to Rangers two weeks ago To arrange his new job whilst still being Qpr manager is embarressing
All planned 2 weeks ago all this
Blokes a snake
At least go privately and do it in a hotel
Not have pictures taken with fans in the pub
So un professional in un real

TBF the bloke wi succeed in ife because he dont give a fuck about anyone else. He wil do whatever to get what he wants. He a cant but he is the one laughing. Being honest upfront etc are admirable qualities but being ruthless gets results.

LFW article very good read. Clive calls him a bullshitter as I did from day 1.
Clive clearly well linked as lots of snippets in there of his behaviour and misinformation.

Having watched the last few games and the level of performances I feel that the classless one may have been found out in terms of how he got us to play. So him going may actually freshen the team up and hopefully our new guy can kick on with these players.

LFW article very good read. Clive calls him a bullshitter as I did from day 1. Clive clearly well linked as lots of snippets in there of his behaviour and misinformation. Yep, don't take any satisfaction from it as we are all QPR fans and as such we are all losers in this, but we were calling it early doors - the man was never committed to us, was actively talking to other clubs (not just Wolves), it was not made up lies by a "gutter press" if anything they under reported his scheming. Plus he was always changing his mind in response to the latest crisis, not some tactical genius at all. I wish we had been wrong about all of this. We can only guess but I agree with Clive's conclusion that essentially Beale woke up to what a difficult job this is and he thought he was better off out now while his reputation was still high. The story about not being able to get Jamal Lowe after Macaulay Bonne's agent got greedy just shows how difficult it is to sign a half decent striker for a club of our resources, even on loan, forget about buying one. I've been saying for a while we are following the Brentford model now but we are only a short while into it, and because we haven't been able to sell anyone we have only been able to do it in a half arsed way so far. We are probably several seasons off being able to build a promotion winning team, and Beale was too much man in a hurry for that.
