I think he was onto a free ride for this rest of this term as Celtic were gone before he turned up and most of GR knew that. From what I saw (highlights) Celtic still looked on a different level. On a note aside from slating Beales departure.
Got ask some serious questions of him as to why this squad was so poorly prepared physically for the season. I’m not talking injuries that happens, I’m talking players being simply unfit to last 90mins or play with any sustained intensity. He was in charge of pre season he was responsible for preparing them physically for the season ahead.
Appears to have massively failed in this task.

Remember though, he wasn’t impressed with their fitness levels and conditioning and was supposedly ‘asking questions’. He hadn’t had long enough tbf, and also remember what he said about having to advise Armstrong what he should be eating. The lad should have been told about nutrition and stamina long before Beale arrived.

We've never really been able to sustain a high tempo high press game for example (and never been able to deal with it when we've been pressed). |
