charlie owens has signed a new deal. he's either the next busquets or he has some dirt on les lol Was about to say the same. Been unlucky with injuries. Probably still on not much more than an U21 contract, so literally zero risk in allowing him another year to prove himself. |

I thought Charlie Owens may have been a suitable back up to Sam Field this season, looks like he got plenty of energy but failed to impose himself so far in his limited game time during pre season games.
Definitely a position that needs a reliable back up with Fields history of suspensions and injuries.
