Scandinavian players in general,Hubble. idk why we aren't looking at players in "lesser" leagues, brentford did it to perfection. their model was to look at the overachieving players in the overachieving teams in france and scandanavia etc. they'd also take stats into account, so if a striker for example has only scored 10 goals but has an average of 3 shots a game then you know he's getting into the right spots and with better coaching those shots can hopefully be converted into goals. plus players from scandanavia are on much lower wages that championship players and far cheaper too. its a no brainer to pick up players from there imo You need to tell Les that.

MB has spoken at previous contact with 3 of the 4 players signed. Our recruitment has been poor to average since Penrice left, its also a major disadvantage the training ground is Cat B for the reasons you pointed out months ago Corbray.

Hauge from Bodø Glimt, but he was swayed by a move to Milan. These days he is squad player at Eintract Frankfurt and no longer an automatic in Norwegian national team. Unfortunatly many Norwegian players are following his excample. They tend to chose money ahead of development. In that respect, I actually feel that players from Sweden and Denmark are different and more mature when chosing their career paths. Ps. (While we`re at it) Players from Iceland has got a super mentality all round and I hope Norwegian players will eventually learn a thing or two from them.

No striker equals a very long season. This could be the season where we could drop as just not enough goals in our squad.

Hindsight is a beatyful thing:but why oh why, didn`t Les Ferdinand bring a striker in when he could last season? Even if it meant that Warburton would have felt the player was (kind of) forced on him.

I would rather play Willick as No 9 than Dykes He would score at least 15 goals

Supports what I was saying the other day. We have to sell to buy. Was pessimistic about this season from the get go and always thought talk of promotion was absurd. But we have a good midfield so should have enough to stay up.

I really have no hope in what we have in the squad Don’t think the goals will come particularly - we might have a few players who scrape into double figures but not much more than that. Few rumours on Twitter we might be selling Chair which i guess would finance a striker but prob more of the usual Twitter Twatter nonsense

If true I would not be unhappy by Chair going especially if we could buy a half decent striker

Forest just bid 35 million for a player
Jesus the golf between cham and prem is massive
That would pay for our whole training ground
We need a new donkey if we cant afford one
Fucking loan one for gods sake
Bring back Nacki on loan he is better than Dykes and Bonne
Will be the difference of Champ and Div 1

Am sure I read that City are open to sell Wells but they want a hefty fee - on a player with no sell on value. Plus given they paid 5m for him and he was on Burnley’s books, his wages will be massive and on past evidence he is unlikely to take a cut. We are all frustrated General - me included - but if it were as simple as all that to land a decent striker when we have no money to spend We would have done so by now.

He doesn’t seem to like loans unless they come with an option to buy and in those scenarios maybe we would have to pay all the wages which makes it unaffordable? And if they are any good we would still need to find the money to make it permanent the following season. Bit of guesswork here but whatever the details the big picture is we don’t have a pot to piss in.
