I’d have very mixed feelings if he turns out to be a real talent. I want anyone in Hoops to play well, even Donkey although I’m close to giving up bothering with him, but if Richards has just been a mardy arse all this time that is unacceptable. I get the impression, and nothing at all to back it up, that if he did well then he would not sign a contract and leave for a bigger club. I feel like he has no loyalty to QPR. Don't think he's a qpr fan? There's one photo of him in a QPR shirt as a kid which, to be fair, is one more than there is of Albert Adomah. The connection is on purpose by the way... I think the club saw how successful Adomah was in exaggerating how much of a QPR fan he was and planned to use it as a guide for Richards. However, they couldn't have forseen how much of a problem they'd have with him so couldn't utilise it.

If we had a thread on some of Rangers most disastrous signings surely he’s in the top three Ned Zelic in 1996 was right up there based on what he did with us

The suggestion is gross misconduct for downing tools because he's certainly not injured and was billed as being one of the most talented players at the club. but where is the actual evidence he’s downed tools. Could be just as simple that manager don’t like or fancy him. He’s clearly got issues that’s evident. If he’s not turning up to training etc then cool try get shot but aside from fans opinions where is the actual evidence. The tweets he 'liked', then deleting his account? Otherwise fair points, but that does beg the question why have the last 2/3 managers not fancied him, particularly in light of the billing and fanfare surrounding his signing.

I went back and listened to Critchley in his second from last interview before beings sacked.
When asked about Richards he went on to say that he’s not physically fit enough to play, Beale said exactly the same during his time. For me it says a lot that both failed to mention anything about his mentality.
I would find it extraordinary if Richards plays for MC any time soon

Keep calling him MC might fool a wannabe gangsta into playing a few games for him

Makes a huge difference to have someone who can step into the midfield when we have injuries and suspensions. I still believe we have good enough players to move up this table. If this Dixon-Bonner steps up, it’s huge plus. I’d say, outfield players: Paal Canon Cooke Dunne JCS Field Colback Willock Chair All very good or good enough at this level. Then add in Dixon-Bonner, Dozzell, Fox, Armstrong…..maybe Dykes and Richards(😀), that’s 15 players….almost looks like a squad… James, I would add Richards to your list. I'm quite confident he could improve under MC. We saw really encouraging signs of that when he came on yesterday.

He got on the ball few times and carried it but he has no credit with the fans so he’s going have too really pull it out bag to prove he’s worth it but he’s got two more years on contract so plenty time to do it.

Have to agree, he'll need to do a lot more to get in the good books imo. Good, encouraging start though.

Agree he has little credit with fans currently but with Chair suspended Saturday it could well be his opportunity to start as we’re not exactly blessed with creative options. And saw enough of him yesterday to say Marti can get him up for it.

Ilias a big loss but D-B is pushing for another start and as Acton said there is a good argument to play Armstrong to bully Dickie as we all know he is vulnerable. So be interesting to see the selection based presumably on who has impressed him early doors.

Richards has done this before though. Comes on, does well, then we don't see him for a few weeks.
He, like Willock, will need a couple of games back to back to get their sharpness back. A mini pre season almost.

I can see Donkey starting again (yawn) but would be great to see Armstrong or Kelman given the chance against Dickie.

But we know how slow Dickie is on the turn, so having Kelman or Armstrong run off him would be good. On a side note, I hope Dickie doesn't get boo'd. Did nothing wrong at QPR and is just an ex player. We tend to boo anyone who leaves recently.

I read and watched Dickie’s interviews after transferring to Bristol C, he was delighted to leave because he said great club, completely different play style etc. If anyone let themselves down last season by just going through the motions it was him, most of his performances were abysmal and I hope he gets torn a new one by Armstrong and the fans.

Yes I agree most players say the same guff when arriving or leaving, for someone of his size he always seemed to either be particularly shy or a weak personality on and off the pitch. I know it’s perhaps wrong to label footballers seen out drinking in pubs in photos but he’s always had a big red face when playing.
