Question for the manager. Why are you picking predominately left footed players with no legs in our midfield. He is in love with Diane Abbott

Losing at home to Blackpool is dreadfully disappointing and should be a real wake up call for Beale. We have some talented new players but they clearly have not settled in yet and the team is not gelling as a result. I can't see how he can continue playing Dykes. My patience has finally run out with Johansen too. With so many new players I guess it was too much to expect for the team to hit the ground running, so some patience will be needed. And so have I. He is clearly past it. Did say pre season won't cut it in this league this season

Chair reverted to type as well and as for Dozzell no words can describe him. The most uncreative midfield in the league if we are missing Willock.

Minus Willock we are a bottom six team as not a shred of creativity in our team. We also need a centre forward and now.

Seen enough of Roberts tonight to think he’s more than capable of playing the creative role in MF,I like his tenacity and aggression.
Let Chair play his normal role with Willock and Armstrong further forward.

Was evident he had blown his load and needs to get his fitness up, but some nice tidy touches tbh and I was pretty happy with what I saw.

Short memories from posters, are you deliberately failing to recognise 2 assists from boro game? 1 assist and a goal from the Sunderland game.
I would love to hear any sensible suggestions for any other player that’s on our books that may provide a better alternative ?

He has been pony since christmas and yet again tonight went missing against a very average team when we needed him to step up? As for 2 assists against Boro where we they? Willock carried the ball 40 yards and Johansen stuck the ball on Dykes head for the 2nd goal. We only scored three so not sure where the assists are in that game?

He offers fuck all yes he scored 1 good free kick but against two average teams in Charlton and Blackpool went missing. Sorry but not for me. Watched Eze last night and great to see him move onto another level since leaving us where as Chair is not improving at all.

All the things the Scottish prick doesn’t do. Couldn’t believe he brought him off and left the tattooed cunt on.

Paal - better than Niko but that's about it, very little quality going forwards Laird - if I were Kakay I would be pissed off losing my place. Laird often losing the ball. Just arrived so deserves a chance but after a fair start got worse as match progressed Dickie - big improvement on last season, more on the front foot, looked assured and a class act Dunne - only the one fuck up tonight, looked solid Dozzell - one of the few players to emerge from that shite with an enhanced reputation, arguably our MoM Stefan - loved the guy on loan but if he were a racehorse he would have been shot by now. No business starting when others are fit. Field - did nothing wrong but did he do enough right? Doesn't impose himself on a game Chair - don't understand the negativity on here, being played out of position, got several good tackles in, the only one who might have unlocked them, can't always do it on his own - who would the haters play instead? Roberts - one of the more creative players but not enough end product Dykes miss - normally I try to defend him but am amazed he isn't getting more stick for the one Johansen put him through for. My grandma could have scored that. And she's dead. Dykes positioning - worse even than his miss, why was he never in the six yard box? Crap as we were there were half a dozen decent deliveries but he lacks a striker's instinct, eg before Armstrong took that good shot he looked up to cross it but saw there was literally no one there Armstrong - loved his tenacity and energy. Just being on livened up the team. Also liked how sad he looked at the end, like it mattered. He looks hungry. I now agree he should start: not because he is the answer (don't think he is yet) but because he has to be an improvement Shopido - the new George Thomas. Runs around. Nice lad. But is that it?
Beale - early days, been hit with injuries, but shown naivety on numerous occasions already and not sure I can identify anything he's actually improved, albeit with a much weaker squad. We've replaced fannying around at the back with aimless long balls to no one. Several times he called the players over for a chat but they carried on as before. Chair walked away from his chat waiving his hands in the air, whatever he was told he clearly thought was complete bollox.

If MB starts with Johansen again against Rotherham then I would question his future ability to make tough decisions as a manager. Much harder to drop him after giving him the armband - a decision he may be regretting. But I agree he needs to show strength by ignoring that. He’s Norwegian He’s pissing me off this season Injuries can be the only reason We’re playing Johansen with a gracious nod to R block🙂

My mate’s lad thought he’d been brought on at half time that’s how little he’d noticed him wasting his time on the right. Agree most of this but would cut Laird some slack. If only we could pass he was in a couple of times with his runs up the wing. If Dykes is starting to annoy you welcome to the club😁

Dozzell and Johansen are too similar and both equally poor. The balance of the side is all wrong as you cannot have three left footed players in the midfield. No legs in midfield and far too easy to play against and once you pass Field you have free run at our back four. All three offer nothing from a creative point of view. Their keeper never made a save of note in that second half which tells you everything.

Honestly, I think Johansen is one of the biggest problems with how we are set up at the moment. We are accomodating him in that deep lying role. He offers close to nothing. Not a genuine defensive midfielder in the sense that he protects the back 4. I'd like to see the stats, but I'd speculate around 80% of his touches will be sending the ball sideways or backwards. Literally wasting a shirt picking him. Might as well go offensive and play 4-4-2 if the other option is a Johansen.

Any odds on beale making the season. You would not be certain of it. Why such a highly rated coach took this job as his first managerial job is something I do not get. What did he think he could do with that midfield and Dykes. His reputation can only be damaged unless the board get him some players in.

Taylor Richards, Chris Willock and Luke Amos (to replace Johansen) all missing. All key players. Their return should make a big difference, as well as Armstrong starting from now on. That's the reason I'm not slashing my wrists after four games. Probably 3pts instead of 0 had they been on the pitch.
