Is it time to start Armstrong on Tuesday night under the lights?
I can understand not starting Roberts if he's not yet fully fit, but not sure this is the case with Sinclair?
There's also talk of Willock and Amos being available too, at least from the bench...
The main concern remains in the FB positions though. How long is Paal out for and what are the chances of Laird being signed in time?
All these pressing questions and more to be answered soon!...

Indeed. Hope Paal is back as not sure i can take another match of Niko.
Other than that tho Beale should finally have a few options in attacking positions.
Am not sure if Armstrong starts but think he deserves more minutes than he is getting

Or Sam Field who is also left-footed, could do a job there.

Expect only reason he is not doing something like this is for squad harmony - there would be no way back for Niko if he did that and no one wants him even on loan so danger is he becomes a bad smell round the changing room

Who's decision was it to extend his contract? Seems an extraordinary one.

Who's decision was it to extend his contract? Seems an extraordinary one. Assume Les. Tbf he didn’t look too bad when he started out - just hasn’t got any better or stronger

Who's decision was it to extend his contract? Seems an extraordinary one. in the boards defence we'd just 'lost' manning and BOS at the time as both were refusing to sign new deals and could have been sold for significantly more than they were. niko and ozzie had both done well out on loan in scotland but didn't have long on their deals and a few clubs were sniffing round at them so i imagine the club were fearing a repeat of BOS and manning. at the time many, including myself, were happy to see us tie them down to longer deals. ozzie to his credit has stepped up and has a place in this team, he's an upper midtable league 1 player. its just one of those things that haven't worked out. sometimes we get it right like cole kpekawa and others we get it wrong.

Just hope we don't under estimate Blackpool another of our traits.
Take the game to them.

Would you start a fully fit Lyndon Dykes or a fully fit Sinclair Armstrong?

I think it's a tricky one and a healthy problem for Mick Beale to have.

i'd happily go for armstrong and feel he deserves a start. he offers so much up top and i think he'd be a joy for our AM's to play with. dykes, aside from being pretty shit, has a very conservative playstyle were it seems like his main aim is to not do anything stupid. plus he also has poor decision making.

So Paal declared fit.
Laird signing announced tomorrow and he'll play.
Willock will play some of the game.
Amos, Richards, JCS all out.
Perhaps we'll even see a start for Roberts.

A bit too early for Armstrong imo, but give him gradually more minutes. I would also like to see Shodipo from the start if possible. The latter is a bit huff and puff, but I feel he`s got potential.

I found MB comments harsh on our defence sitting deep/dropping off.
There is only Sam Field protecting the CBs from opposing players exposing them one on one, or in behind for pace.
Nico, Johansen and Chair do not have either the mettle, mobility or natural instinct to repel an opposing player.

But he is on the case: "It could be a -mentality or shape- issue". He included the midfield in his post Match interview

Tomorrow i would play these players
Dickie Dunne Laird
Albert Chair Johanson Willock Shopido
Roberts Armstrong
Attack them from the start serious pace
Play with intent the old Rangers way
They would not be able to contain that lot

Very frank: 'So far each match we have played for a half, and half a match isn't enough." After listening to that I could see him dropping a few tomorrow night.

For me the team would be:
Senny
Laird-Dickie-Dunne-Paal
Field -Johansen
Roberts -Willock- Chair
Dykes
If Willock not fit to start not sure: Dozzell too defensive, not convinced by Shodipo, I feel Armstrong is maybe a super sub at this stage. Maybe Albert on the right and Roberts behind Dykes?
