Absolute disgrace I would bet he was still better than Oliver Langford at W12 today, we would have been better with Bonnie Langford reffing the game, he was absolute shite for both sides and the chocolate teapot running the Ellerslie Road touchline should have stayed in bed for the amount of use he was. |

OK, if I ever use the phrases "chocolate teapot" "Tits on a bowling ball" "chocolate fireguard" or "As much use as an ashtray on a motorbike" take it as read that they are synonyms for being fucking useless... perhaps I'll just say fucking useless in future and risk God's wrath in the afterlife.

It does raise an interesting point though. I'd still prefer to have a game not interrupted by VAR and just accept that from time the ref is going to get it wrong (or in Stroud's case get everything wrong). It does tend to even out.
Until I fucked a knee up I was a qualified RFU ref, got to about half way up the ladder. Thing is that in rugby the TMO is useful because the ball is completely out of sight at critical moments, and there are generally more bodies all over the shop to help obscure the action.
The only thing football can take from rugby is having the ref's audio stream available to broadcasters. That would change a few things for the better.

I didn’t bother watching the game last night but it seems like you won ? i read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that your recent record in must win games was horrendous so you must be quite confident now to put that to bed ? Agree on your view on what little I’ve seen on Henry. Looking at clips of your Keeper over the season would not fill me with too much belief that your clubs failure rate will change though. Good luck if you do go up though. |
