Really? Where did you see that? And why did the club cover it up? Not sure it’s covering up. The club is just generally incompetent Where did you hear this mate? About his broken foot. Be interested to read if you have a link?

Ok, thanks. Personally I think this is so poor by the club not to communicate it. Look at all the unjustified shit he's had to put up with from fans over the last few months, when meanwhile he'd broken his fucking foot and the club can't even communicate it. That's wrong in my view and totally unfair on the player. Assuming it's actually true of course.

Look at articles by Clive on LFW. I find him a pretty reasonable chap but he’s going crazy about likes of Balogun. I couldn’t work out why he was out for so long but a broken foot would fit into timeframe.

The club have no good reason to hide the fact he's broken his foot. That's the bit that makes no sense, especially when they see all the abuse he's taken for it all this time. That's in nobody's interests, least of all the club and the player.

I agree with you the broken foot explanation would fit the timeline. So either the club have failed in being transparent over his injury, or someone on LFW is just shit-stirring for the sake of it.

So you think he’s been sat on his arse? And he’s been fit to play but couldn’t be bothered?

So you think he’s been sat on his arse? And he’s been fit to play but couldn’t be bothered? No I don’t think that’s the case James, I would say it’s more likely he was miss diagnosed by our medical staff. Like most football websites and fans (including me)tend to over react to poor performance and make rash assumptions on club employees, one quick look at yesterdays report on LFW describing Laird sitting down and fans reactions at the game only emphasises how some posters on that site can distort reality. Balogun has been slated over there previously, then it was Iroegbunam now it’s Lairds turn to feel the heat from influential posters.

He's got an excuse. The rest of the toe rags don't. One of many examples was Willock, I think we had just missed a chance from a corner and the ball came back out to a Wigan player, and instead of going to close him down Willock just stood there and let him pass. Pissed me right off. At least have a sodding go.

I really don't see that. I don't follow those people. Who does? Two wins in twenty four, eight defeats in nine, players clearly not up for it, tells you all you need to know about the players. All the off field bullshit and identitarian hype tells you everything you need to know about the club. They've crashed through the very thin ice. We've all had enough. Turns out shit again, Friday, as it will, hopefully we will vocally let them know. Concede an early goal....?

Reading that he’s gone up in my estimation. Could easily have gone into that meeting and licked arse for PR but he’s stood his ground said what his intentions were and basically said like it or lump it.
Sounds like he’s remaining next season.
We got some proper precious fans as when you watch the video he’s clearly not kicking off with fans and as he explains he wanted speak as video actually suggests. Why fans blew it up beyond what it was god knows.
Interesting comments on booing and how it don’t help.

I don't know, it feels like a bit of an empty gesture. It's all just words isn't it? I'd like to see all that translated into something positive on the pitch before I come to any conclusions about what LB and GA said in that discussion.
However, at the same time, I do appreciate they are making an effort here, especially LB, and for that, fair play.

Two things I’ve picked up on with the in-depth focus on Dorking Wanderers manager in their YouTube videos.
He’s often berating his players from the touchline about communication and being more vocal with each other on the pitch. That’s something that both Ainsworth and Balogun say is lacking.
Insists on his players putting in a committed warm up on the pitch before kick off.Hitman has made comments that our warm ups consist of Hall playing keeps-ups.
He’s achieved 12 promotions in 20 seasons so it works.

Once again, comments about injuries - ‘something we need to look at’ ‘things need to change’- exactly what Beale said. We are clearly not right in this area.

Not sure I agree with the empty gesture thought there Hub, I think it was a good opportunity to get those thoughts from Leon across so he could say what he was trying to say after Wigan. It says 2 fans who were at the front when it happened were invited, one declined. I know Zach very well and he was at the meeting so I can only assume the one who declined was the one in the brown jacket who accused Leon of making the money comment. Think it's quite telling that he declined to be honest, easy to give it large in the moment but didn't want it when invited to have the discussion in person.

Fascinating read that and a real insight. Very rare you see a player instigating such a move. It would normally come from the manager or media team. Overall very productive and helpful exercise IMO. I know Saffa Michail and he's not one to usually complain so things must have been bad. Let's hope so, they've clearly not done their jobs properly given the number of hamstring injuries we've sustained this season.

But like I said, now I'd like to see that translated onto the pitch.
