Was he any good? Remember everyone loved him but did he actually live up to expectations?

In my opinion he did. Wasn’t flashy, did his job, and always looked like he enjoyed himself. One of my favourite players at the time. Got an injury I seem to recall and wasn’t the same player after. I think we signed him from Carlisle.

Yes, decent champ player. Neat on the ball, little bit of pace. No world beater - that said, wouldn’t get in our side the way we are playing lately.

Wasn't very big if i remember. Ended u Carlisle i think poor sod,no one deserves that.

Overriding memory of him was at an end of season bash I attended with my Dad (we sponsored Chris Kiwomya's kit back in the day lol) he locked his keys in his Porsche and had half the team outside trying to break into his own car.
I was only young but recall him being half decent tbh?

Played a little bit like Martin Rowlands from what I can remember. Was with us at not the best time.

I thought he looked a very good player but not really given a fair chance by Francis, played for England at various youth levels and was called up for England B team, no mean feat at that time as England caps were not given out in exchange for green shield stamps in those days.

He was good. Same mould as Rowlands / Derry
Tough in the tackle. Little nuisance and could play a bit. Always gave 100%
