My guess is Iroegbunam, he’s not made the Villa prem match day squad this season.

DMF would seem a priority for me as Johansen has been poor.

You would have to think if Villa sign this DMF player then Iroegbunam will be allowed on loan to us.

Andy Carroll springs to mind if this tweet is true about out of contract strikers.

He’s 19. Presumably he’s pretty good or maybe we’ll send him to Orient on loan.

I just don’t get why we take someone else’s youngster to develop in an area where we have lots of options if, as we keep hearing, young lads need easing in slowly. Can only deduce that we think our youngsters are shit apart from Armstrong.

I noticed MB asking the fans to give Iroegbunam time to settle in before judging him, I been looking at Villa forums regularly since MB arrived and their fans said about him “he starts games very sluggishly”
I saw that in 3 of his games for England U19s when they won the Euros earlier this summer.
Top signing imo.

Sorry, I just don’t get it. If he comes in and makes an immediate impact like Laird then great, but to come here and be given time makes no sense. By the time he’s ‘developed’ he’ll be going back.

Said before Field is fire fighting and getting booked often (2 bookings away from ban) , serious competition for Field and Johansen even when Richards returns imo.

Beale said that he's only interested in signing starters. So Tim must be a starter.

Comes down to ability mate. Doesn't matter if he ain't the finished article. If he's a future international player, he'll improve us whilst he's learning. As much as I'd also like to see us play more of our own youth, fact is very few of them are ready. Cast your mind back to when we had Kyle Walker here. He only had a few first team games under his belt, but he was still a cut above 99% if the players at this level.

Alan, Beale has said he wants two players competing for each position, so it would make sense from that perspective. And we have been short of extra bite in midfield. I take your point about developing our own but perhaps Beale can't see anyone else in our squad of Iroegbunam's level.

Beale said that he's only interested in signing starters. So Tim must be a starter. Exactly Tim, but doesn’t sound like he’s anywhere near being a starter which is why I don’t get it. Mixed messages.

I accept our youngsters probably aren’t any good but, as Timmy says, Beale wants starters (rightly) and this guy doesn’t sound like a starter. Laird was a starter.
