If they could not see a CF was needed with Dykes tubed up then what chance of players at any other time. This is not about backing a manager it is about having a player for the position required in an emergency.

Even when we were up the top we only had a handful of games where we looked decent (Hull and 10 man Cardiff instantly spring to mind).
We are probably where we should have always been now and we have got to support Critchley as if anyone can get anything out of these players it is him.

In the last few days various people on here have said they ‘hate’ (strong word used for simplicity): The ground The owners The players The directors So who’s getting a season ticket for Brentford next season? Interesting though, what is it that makes people support QPR, and would/could anyone stop supporting them?

I am 3rd generation Rangers supporting family and my kids are now the 4th generation so have seen plenty of ups and downs. How long have you been supporting us?

Interesting though, what is it that makes people support QPR, and would/could anyone stop supporting them? i'm an outlier as i chose to support QPR when i was 10 or 11 years old. grew up as a chelsea fan as my family are all mostly chelsea except my dad who's a fulham fan lol. the natural progression for us is that my son is destined to be a brentford fan. i was disillusioned with chelsea and wanted to support a smaller london based club. chose QPR because 10 year old me thought the name was cool and ian holloway was funny. i imagine most people support their club simply based on family/friends/proximity. most people would never choose to stop supporting their club but i imagine there's a fair few QPR fans out there who've become so pissed off and bored of us that they've stopped following the club. i can understand that tbh, personally as it stands right now i'd never stop supporting or going to games but i'm 29 and haven't been worn down by our bullshit plus i'm probably far more used to it than older fans given i never experienced our heyday.

One is stuck with the team one supports. The only option is exit. Temporarily or permanently. I haven't watched football other than the Rs for years. Bar the extra time of the World Cup final.

The only way that this can be described is the years of longing and hoping that one day the club would be successful
And all the 40 seasons that you have supported the club through good and bad times hasnt been a total waste of time
The constant broken promises / The constant disappointment on saturdays makes you feel like you have been deceived
The passion on this board is due to one thing only
The longing for some success on something you love and and really it does not give a toss about you.
Hard facts that as you get older become transparent but you cannot see when you are younger.

I criticise the club a lot but that is due to the longing for the club to be successful.
This grows more and more over the years and becomes an obsession after a while which is where the passion comes from.

How is it evident? The core is the same as last season when we were top six for half a season and top of the league only two months ago. IMO our squad is good enough but our manager can't get the best out of it.

His last 5 games were 4 defeats 1 draw 1 goal scored and two of the ugliest away performances I’ve seen in a long time at Birmingham (game that would have seen us go top) and Coventry when we hardly left our own half. The slide started well before critchley was even a thought and the slide started when we were in a great position in the league.

Its hard to debate with you General because you disagree with what I write without apparently reading it. I said I'm not happy. I've been saying for a while I don't understand how Les stays in the job. I've been saying our recruitment strategy belongs to the dark ages (tho at least is probably no longer actually corrupt as it was under Hughes). I don't think the club is massively well run (though a lot better than it was). I don't think there is a particularly promising route to success for us right now. I have conceded all this. My point, though, is just endlessly saying how pissed off we are with our predicament isn't the same as having any solutions to get out of the mess. You say things like just get rid of the board - and presumably go into administration. How is that going to raise funds for this precious striker? We might not even have a club. You say the board aren't guaranteeing the future of the club - so would you prefer they fuck off, guaranteeing that the club has absolutely zero future?

Depends on your mindset just sit back do nothing and accept everything that is spouted. Or Question why and vent your feelings. You can't have change without conflict.
