i think its more of a state of the country and the tory party than anything else.
tories have been shit awful since cameron left and are an absolute joke of a party now. i've always voted tory too but like fuck will i vote for them in the next GE, which should come sooner rather than later!

As I've said before it's a lovely country. It's successive governments that have allowed standards,policing,responsibility,morals and discipline to decay. Don't even blame individual governments myself. This country (and many others) are still trying to operate on systems put in place hundreds of years ago. Systems that are totally reliant on people trusting those in power, doing as they are told and having the best interest of their country and countrymen at heart. Unfortunately we have so much information (and disinformation) at our finger tips, we have been lied to too many times by those in power and in many cases, have lost any feeling of community that these systems are destined to fail. Doesn't matter who you put at the helm. The above is compounded by the fact no capable person in their right mind would go into politics these days. The whole system needs dramatic reform to befit the modern, connected world. The problem is they won't do it for fear of getting ousted. Very few of these twats would cut it in any industry other than politics. |
