Na no way he'd even think about jumping into his mate and ex gaffers bed and also he's made his point clear today.
We've got him until end of season and then panic back on!

Maybe he got the nod that Gerrard was toast before Wolves came calling.

You are a cantankerous old bastard when you want to be, aren't you Bill?
And Sky didn't get Steven Gerrard the sack. Steven Gerrard got Steven Gerrard the sack by being utter shite during his spell at Villa. I watched the game last night in it's entirety and they were utter rot. Taken to pieces by a really very average Fulham side in Premier League terms.
No excuse for it either. Villa have a very decent squad. Smattering of England players, Scotlands best midfielder in John McGinn, a frontline that many sides above them in the league could be envious of. They should be mid-table at least and Gerrard is fully deserving of his P45 for the shite he's serving up!

The timing of all of this has worked out well for us. If Wolves hadn't made their advances first, and caused the Board and MB to renegotiate and strengthen the relationship between Mickey boy and the club, then we may have had to say goodbye to Mick if Villa came knocking, or at least suffered an even longer period of uncertainty. But now Mick's going nowhere, at least until the end of the season - I actually think he's here for even longer.
