What the verdict on this kid.
its been noticed that since Mcclaren has been sacked, this kid has made every first team squad.
is his place warrented in the senior squad and is he good enough for the championship?
or is our advisor of football now pulling the strings and doing his old mate des walker a favour by including his son.

Hits. I thought he did ok but clearly needs time so not sure he will be ready for next season.

Played one touch football: his first touch was so poor that never got a chance for a second touch. Poor player IMO.

And it was no coincidence we played much better when he was substituted.

I thought he showed promise. Lovely movement, won it in the air and looked strong enough
Will get better. Would like to see him given a chance to see how he handles the pressure
Looked tired towards end of first half but he’s playing at tempo he’s not experienced before

I have to say that Wells was not much better. Walker`s positional play was ok. Could have put their defenders a bit more under pressure, I feel.

lot of pressure on him because of what a great footballer his Dad was, the least we can do is give him time

he's only made one start for us and it'd be unfair to judge him too quickly. if he scores in the next game he'd be judged as the next les ferdinand instead!

Bit early to judge him at Championship level imo, especially when he didn't receive a shred of service from the midfield. Looks ok on the ball, good in the tackle. Plenty of time to develop, lets not be to harsh on the boy this early.

Probably needs a loan to be fair. The lad has come straight from youth football into our first team.
Without meaning to disrespect the kid, he's only getting a game because we've loaned out 3 young attacking players that were ahead of him in the pecking order.

Thought he did ok for his first start. Looked strong and put himself about. Experienced pro in Wells was worse when he came on. Walker will get a lot better given time and patience. He still has got to get used to playing in front of a hostile crowd when thongs are not going right and must've been a bag of nerves.
