its good to see eustace do well, he gave us a lot of loyalty last year when he turned down the swansea job to stay here as our assistant. my guess is he was 'promised' the managers job here after warburton but we obviously went in a different direction. i always thought he had something good about him as a manager though and that he'd be a very good manager one day. i still think birmingham have a good squad on paper but that you have a lot of has beens and bad eggs in the team. you were signing everyone up a few years back and its pretty difficult to think of many who actually worked out. i think you'll be a very good side in a few years once you get rid of the mercenaries and bring in some players who want to be there. as for jude, i remember him playing against us at loftus road a few years ago. think he was only 4 at the time or something lol but what a player. the ONLY thing he lacked at 16 years old was his physique as i remember us muscling him off the ball - but that was only when we actually managed to get near him as he had such great vision and awareness that he rarely put himself in that prediciment. as for why we're doing well. we've been building a side for a few years, mainly from free transfers but also picking up diamonds in the rough from random places. we've had a clear playstyle in mind since warburton so we've signed players to suit that. plus we have chair and willock who're arguebly among the top 5 best players in the league. we've been lucky to hold onto the core of our team too but our manager has completely taken us to the next level. lots of people referred to him as the brains behind gerrard and its easy to see why, he looks so tactically sound and our players are played to their strengths all of the time. we play a lot like rangers when they won the league tbh. i don't doubt for a second that beale will go onto much bigger and better things one day, he's far far too good for us and this league. Harry Redknapp's brief time at Birmingham was the reason for us falling foul of the FFP regs and the subsequent point deductions. He spent millions on mediocre players on high wages and we are still suffering to an extent. We only have 2 of them left, Maxime Colin and Harlee Dean, both quite decent players but on astronomical wages. It's encouraging to see all your positive comments about Eustace. At first we thought it might just be the new manager bounce, but so far he's keeping it going. All the players think he's wonderful, there's a tremendous team spirit, admittedly helped by having such a small squad, and after being favourites for relegation there's an attitude of 'we'll show them' amongst the players. Our expectations are low and if he can keep us clear of the relegation zone that will be a great achievement. It's our small squad that's the worry. We both seem to have really good young managers, and as you say, you've been building a side over the years that's gradually improving so Beale at least has a decent nucleus of players to build and improve on, to the extent that you've now a real chance of promotion. We're a long way behind you but we now have at least some hope that we're turning the corner, especially if we can get rid of our current bad owners who have put the club up for sale (a saga which has been going on for months which I won't bore you with). As you say, the fear when you have a good young manager is they in time they will leave for bigger and better things. Finally, going back to Jude Bellingham's younger brother. If he features in the game tomorrow you'll see the resemblance, so much so it's as if he was Jude's twin. And uncannily he plays like him both with his position and his body language. It is of course too much to expect him to be as good as his brother but we can live in hope! Good luck for the season.

Got to be looking to win this but, would not be upset with a draw Ditto. I hear people say how they're doing well, I really don't think they are tbh. Sat in 15th with 5 wins from 16. Don't get me wrong I know they're a mess off the pitch so expectations are low, and they're no mugs (nobody in this league is) - but I expect us to be beating Birmingham. Wouldn't be too down heartened with a draw though. Same. Bang average side.

I’m glad Mick Beale is our manager and not John you know you know Eustace as Beale has a brilliant 52% win record since joining.

To win tonight we will need 3 up front Chair Roberts Dykes with or without Willock who will be on bench i think.
And only called for if needed urgently
Balogan / Salter / Paal / Laird
Field / Johannson / Iroegbunam
Chair / Dykes / Roberts
= 3 points on the road

Think if we attack them and keep defence and midfield tight We will win this game
However if we go cagey 1 up front etc will be a draw
