Respect the points you make mate although the Kane thing is very different. When he went out Spurs still had plenty of competition in the squad for his role. We don't have that, and I'd rather see our young players pushing the regulars for a place instead of sitting on another club's bench. I get it that it can't happen if you have a manager who only picks the same players and makes the same subs every game. That doesn't make it right for me. And if we keep producing players who don't impress that's another matter.

As things stand though you have BOS, Chair, Willock, Adomah, Bonne, and George Thomas (if he's ever fit) who are capable of playing off Dykes and/or out wide and you also have Charlie Kelman who the manager seems to rate. I just don't see Shodipo getting any game time, we have plenty of attacking options. What we actually need is a replacement for Amos and more cover at the back. |

Now he´s got 8 in 19 games, with almost half of those coming on as sub. Pretty impressive IMO, and I´d get him back for the run-in as BOS replacement, give him a proper run, and see if he takes his chance.

Lad has had a good half season injury free, and playing regularly has done him the world of good. We have a vacancy on the wing that needs filling after BOS fucked off, so I suggest we let him play there instead of BOS with the same patience that Bright was afforded. BOS didn´t pull up any trees this season, but still played near on every game for us, which is amazing considering what went on in the background. Olamide Oluwatimilehin Babatunde Oluwaka Shodipo deserves his chance now. It´s a nobrainer IMHO.
IF he plays well we offer him a new contract, and if not we let him go to league one on a perm, if that is his level.

Let him finish his loan, come back full of cofidence and a pre season and see how it goes next. He will still be behind Chair, Kane (if WB) Niko, Adomah and Willock so he won't play.

Gens, I think it's been a combo of him being a bit of a late bloomer, not fitting the formation and being unlucky with injuries. I'm totally behind him getting another chance next season.

We are 2 strikers down atm that’s going to be an interesting one I'd dispute that. Austin offered nothing aside from maybe a handful of games last season. Bonne (whilst a bit shit) will probably offer at least the same. Not saying we don't need a forward or 2. Just simply that it's wrong to say we are in much worse shape than last season. We've lost our best striker in Grey, but I'd imagine we are working on replacing him. |
