I really don’t see an issue if Critchley arrived after a tough home fixture, as long as we are more sorted for away to Bolton. Preston you mean?

Not the happiest hunting ground from memory. New manager bounce? Other than the win right before the Covid 'break' I dont recall ever getting anything up there...! Fingers crossed Critchley can hit the ground running.

Okay, if everyone else is fit then I think Roberts should feature. Despite other people's cynicism towards him, we played our best football when he was in the side, including: Millwall away, Bristol City away (he scored one of the goals), Sheffield Utd away and Reading at home. He got injured in the Birmingham away game in October and hasn't featured since.
In the Millwall, Bristol and Sheffield Utd games he started in a front three with Willock and Chair. Dykes didn't play v Millwall, and was a late sub in the other two.
In my opinion he's a better option than Richards. And if we play to our strengths, we've looked much better with him in a front three than with Dykes as our main striker. I hope Critchley considers the false 9 approach, but I've got a feeling that he'll play safe and pragmatic and start Dykes - he has yet to run his eye over Roberts in a competitive match, but hopefully he'll feature in his plans.

Would agree that Roberts is a far better option than Dykes but would consider Richards as a realistic replacement for Chair.
I would like to see the live wire Aoraha sitting alongside Field and with Iroegbunam given the license to get forward.

Scored a cracking goal on his debut too, away to Charlton iirc.

We do appear to have far too many sicknotes - it’s becoming a feature of QPR! Looks like we’re adding Willock to the list, still fragile after a month off.

As I said earlier, much as I think Roberts needs to feature - certainly at some point - I reckon the Critch will go super-pragmatic and hope for a draw. So Dykes on his own up front seems the most likely formation... Something like:
Laird, JCS, Dunne, Paal
Field
Willock Iregbunam Dozzell
Dykes
Roberts may come off the bench second half.
Not that that's what I'd like!

Anyone can beat anyone in league, so why not set up to try and do so. Being cautious can backfire just as easily. We not playing m city and that no disrespect to pne.
