Great start from Critchley. Should put him in the shop window! if he walks now he would have 100% record and clean sheet 🤣

Looks like someone is pulling funny faces at Critchley. Nice comments, simple but a lot of sense. You can see the relief in his face. I liked his reference to counter attacking, definitely something that needs work.

Hang on tho, he hasn’t actually changed anything yet. That’s how we played before Eel and his interest in Wolves. The players obviously want to do it again for the new guy. That’s all that’s different so far. reckon your beales dad your in love with him. Not at all mate, but we all have (had) to do our jobs properly even when you don’t like the boss. The players have cheated us over the past few weeks. They weren’t being asked to do something they couldn’t do they just didn’t want to do it for him. Anyway, 3 great points and off we go again.

Agree and I also liked his reference to needing to improve keeping possession better after taking the lead, particularly in the latter stages when closing game out. Have noticed this for a while, so glad to hear he recognises the issue and plans to work on it.

Other than the scuffed clearance by Dunne and Shodipo failing to clear a Preston cross late in the game I thought we looked better defensively yesterday, is it a coincidence that Banfield and Eels set piece coach left?

We still drop way too deep, imo. We could easily have lost this match.

As Westie said, it was noticeable seeing Neil standing up on the touchline throughout the game, nice to see

If I remember right our defense was quite solid in our first 10-15 games of the season.

Perhaps the great set piece coach not all he was built up to be. Has he left the building too?

Fantastic start hope we keep up the performances now
Cardiff and Luton are def winnable games as they are not playing well
If you want to make the top six you need to win these games end of story
It will also put pressure on all the teams above
Good start Critchley now it’s about continuity as you said yourself

Reserved and softly spoken in front of the cameras but seems to have a confident steely determination about him. His media persona may well be a different one than behind-the-scenes with his players. Stats indicate victory was well deserved too:

An obvious thing to say in answer to Neil Critchley quote on ‘fine margins’ but if we had a striker who carried a threat in front of goal then we wouldn’t be worrying that the ball may run kindly for our opponents every game.

i loved that we were a bit dirtier and did the basics well this game. we saw under the eel and even warbs to an extent that sometimes we'd try and be too pretty with and without the ball.
neil looks like he's going to play the defensive side of the game to our teams strengths.
its a great win and hopefully one we can build on. i imagine its given the whole team a real boost after they were abandonned.

Looks like someone is pulling funny faces at Critchley. I like him. He comes across a bit Meek but, he seems genuine, and like me, he likes a clean sheet.
