mine in 1984/85 when i was 9 years old
was sir Terrence Fenwick
not only was he my super hoop captain he also played for england so at that age to me he was at the pinnacle of the football world.
i also grew my hair just like him (TMI)
but that yellow card he was on against Maradona in the 86 world cup quarters stopped him ramming and mowing him down and stopping the best world cup goal of all time but i just couldnt understand how a terrible player like Marradona could get round the best player the worlds ever seen (Terry Fenwick)
my hero was made human after that day i just couldnt understand it
still remember him scoring in front of me and my dad at Loftus Road in the milk cup semi final first leg on the plastic versus Liverpool in 1986 and it felt like QPR were on the way to being the best team in the league
thats until we met the mighty Oxford Utd in the final

Rodney Marsh. I once saw him fall on his back, facing away from the goal,in the 6 yard box and juggle the ball on the soles of his feet before letting loose with an overhead shot that went just over the bar. Amazing

lee cook, martin rowlands and marc bircham were my QPR ones. i have a bit of a soft spot for adam bolder though as he was the first QPR player i ever met. i met him randomly in the club shop when my dad took me there to get a QPR shirt lol.
i absolutely loved eidur gudjohnson who's easily my all time favourite, a close second is andriy shevshenko when he was at AC milan. both were great players on their day.

I can say from personal experience, don't meet your heros on at least 3 of the names you've dropped there mate.

When I was a young girl my QPR heroes were Stan Bowles, Don Givens,Dave Thomas, Clive Allen, Paul Goddard and believe it or not, Gordon Hill. When he was a Man.Utd player I started to follow Hill closely because at that time I played on the wing myself. Just a pity that the wizard`s short spell with us was very dissapointing. Before he came to us during Tommy Doc`s short reign, he injuried his knee severely when he was at Derby. Sadly, It`s safe to say that he never recovered after that incident and played just a few matches for us.

Loved Waddocks no nonsense tackles, you could literally feel them from the front row of the Paddock. And Gary Bannister. Probably couldn’t meet the minimum height restriction for most amusement park rides but knew how to hit the back of the net. Scored a hat-trick against the scum as well, that alone made him a hero in my book😆
