Punting it long which was absolutely pointless then playing round the back affecting nothing, pointless then trying to play on the wings which was completely void of any success.
Weird line up, shit performance.

it'd bd unfair to call NC out after 3 games however i do worry that he may be the wrong man for the job.
you had the eel, a guy who i sadly do see being a top manager one day, going round players houses and having dinner parties with them along with just doing little things like spending the day with his players the day before a game. he's a top motivator and knows how to connect with players on an individual level.
and then you have NC, who's more like a tutor that you bring in to help your kid with maths. he's not the kind of guy to galvanise a squad and make them run through walls.
he needs the right type of players and right team to play for him.
unless we go on a terrible run and lose most of our games from now until the end of the season i'll be happy to see how we do under critch. but the fact of the matter is we don't look that good so far.

Aside from a tackle after losing the ball in the first few minutes, Iroegbunam had perhaps the worst game I've seen from a CM this season....absolutely terrible and made worse as he walked around the pitch as if he knew Villa were about to recall him.

And as much as I slate Dykes, that lad should get credit as he ran himself into the ground trying to make anything happen in that second half

We have zero creativity and a human lamp post as a centre forward. We are dull and very hard to watch now and that is 3 really shit performances out of four games and 2 goals in 8 games. So to suggest it was decent is bizarre at best. |

Did the players give everything like he said- no certainly not.
Critchley must have missed Morris had 2 or 3 shots at goal in that first half after scoring the first.We never really looked like scoring despite Roberts having a fortunate back header hit the top of the bar. If Chair is ill why start him ahead of Willock
With no sign of a striker on the subs bench and watching Donkey how can he say “if” when it’s case of that we “must” have a striker in Jan.
Not in his interview but why are we playing wingers when we finally have 2 decent wing backs to do same job?
