He was never, ever going to be the answer. It was an extraordinary decision from a financial pov. Should've earmarked the Beale compensation for a decent gaffer on a short term/options open to stay in the division. It's gonna cost them big time. Cost them big time? How? In 6 games Ainsworth has lost 5 games. Critchley lost 6 in 12. Also, look at teams Critchley had to play compared to Ainsworth.

Look at his background, he was dealt a really shit hand here and was on the back foot from day one because of the way he spoke. Bet he’s actually fucking delighted to get away from this shower of shit. Ainsworth is a yes man and despite his protests to being a long ball merchant he’s proving, unfortunately, that’s exactly what he is. David Brent with long hair and a leather jacket. We’ve been, Watford aside, absolutely embarrassing so far. Another shit appointment in a long list. I was hoping he’d be different and was quite positive when he was initially appointed as I thought we’d get a lift but the standard of football isn’t good enough, weird subs, deluded interviews. The whole club is a joke and is 100% getting relegated. The silver lining if we can call it that is when we are in league one next year we might do ok as we’d have a manager who knows the division and has pedigree for getting out of it. The fact we are in that position after 8 years of mismanagement and mediocrity from the board and I include Amit in that is absolutely unforgivable and we need a complete clear out. Preferably new ownership and start all over again. I don’t think the club will fold and I think eventually we will rise again but right now they can all go and fuck themselves |

When we finish mid table in League 1, we should all be thanking the 3 of you for saving us. Our project is to develop the best young kids, the best leave us for nothing to the big clubs and we will be stuck with the likes of Niko and Drewe. And we should be bloody grateful. Don’t expect good football either, we don’t deserve it. Direct style watching bang average players. I just feel so happy about things! We’ve got some of the top notch footballing minds guiding us.

He's bang on the money. Same last season too. We were last decent calendar year 2021, when Charlie and Stef came on loan. End of 2020-21 and beginning of 21-22. Utter shit since January 2022. Let's make sure they know that when things go pear shaped Friday.

I think he's deliberately deflecting attention away from the facts, soft soaping everyone for the drop. I dont want to hear anymore excuses from this guy, no one forced him to come here, and he knew the score about the reality behind the scenes.
If he cant keep us up, he should go. His record to date is worse than Critchley's who at least told them a few home truths.
To get relegated when teams around us are having points deducted would be a new low, even for us.

I'm not delusional enough to think we were ever as great as the league position was back in October but I would have thought we'd have at least have been mid-table at worst and not close to dropping out of the league.
A complete farce of a season which goes to show what happens when you don't properly pinpoint the areas you need to improve on in a squad.

Im not sure we were either. You could easily argue we were over achieving under Warnock because no one thought we’d be as successful. Confidence and momentum shouldn’t be under estimated, things have a habit of going for you. Ask Leicester a few years ago. |
