Also, the deluded Ainsworth going on about how he's a Blackburn lad so will be well up for his 'derby' with local rivals Burnley on Saturday - as if the players will give a monkey's about that... That aged well… Beautiful performance by the lads, who I never doubted for a minute…

Going to have your work cut out next season Gareth - I can see Sunderland having the momentum to join Burnley and Sheff Utd and with three decent teams coming down there’ll still be WBA, Watford, Norwich, Boro in the mix all thinking they shouldn’t be here. Add the Coventrys and Prestons who will be looking to build on a decent position this season and we’ll be at the wrong end again if we can’t change a lot.

A veiled piercing of the rotten apples if you listen between the lines. Good to hear, especially if there's any truth in the clique rumours.

So if it that hard, piss off In fairness to Gaz, he wasn't complaining about it being a tougher job than he'd expected, he was asked a direct question about it being a tougher job than he'd expected.

From the BBC; I think this gives yesterday's result a different perspective from what some people think of GA's tactical nous:
QPR manager Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Radio London: "I can't thank the boys enough for their efforts, they were absolutely sensational. We rode our luck a couple of times, I'm not going to gloss over that. Burnley are a hell of a team - no team has come here and beat them.
"They'd had 15 wins and six draws. I said to the boys nobody has tried what we're going to try today. It's risky, we sat in and defended. The boys had to believe in it and they really did, they took everything on that we said, they ran until they couldn't run any more, that's what they had to do to win.
"I'm not going to come here and go toe-to-toe with the best team in the league, no chance.
"It was a brilliant performance. I am really proud. Being a Blackburn lad makes it a little bit sweeter.
"I am in awe of Vincent Kompany and what he's done here. They deserve to be in the Premier League. It makes the result even sweeter for me - it's a top result and it goes a long way towards our safety in the Championship."

Hubs I'm confused. Have you done a full 360 on him in the last four days? You appear to have gone from backing him to sacking him to backing him again lol 😉

Not quite the full 360, Stan. I did a 180 on him a few games ago, and now I've backtracked from that position, because of the Burnley result, what he said about it. etc. etc. So I've kind of done a 270!

I still think we need a change at the end of the season. Can’t see it happening though. Don’t like his sly digs at previous regimes.

Don’t like his sly digs at previous regimes. He's made sly digs at the players too. Sometimes the odd sly dig is warranted and I can understand why he's done it if it keeps him in the job, or it gets the reaction we saw on Saturday. Time will tell on that come the end of the season.

Prefer upfront then sly and personally think sly digs eventually will lead to unhappy dressing room.

1 I always wanted to keep Warbs. Ups and downs with him, but he generally made progress and players seemed to like him. He was a steady hand and, to my mind, settled the club - best since Warnock. I would have renewed his contract.
2 Beale - once he was here, I got a little bit excited by results and impressed by his 'loyalty and integrity' comments in rebuffing Wolves. Which made his two-faced change of stance when Rangers came knocking all the worse. What an arsehole.
3 Critchley - not convinced by his appointment, but should have been given more time - I doubt we would have been in this relegation battle, probably up with Birmingham points-wise is my guess. He wasn't a particularly inspiring manager and I suspect the players didn't take to him. Still, I'm sure he did well in terms of his pay-off, and good luck to him, that's down to the the board - we probably pissed away most of the money Rangers paid us for Beale.
4 Didn't want Ainsworth - as much as to protect his reputation at QPR as anything. Not convinced he's a Championship manager, but maybe I'm wrong. There are signs that he does things a little differently and prefers effort, dedication and commitment to the badge above talent alone - all admirable qualities. Maybe he can build a side which will surprise us all next season - I'm happy to give him that chance and to support him (at least until Christmas...), assuming we stay up this year.

After asking my mrs for a dance on our wedding day many moons ago she was very quick to tell me to never ever ask her again.

There's too much aimless belting it up the park to relieve pressure. All it does is invite the next wave. I can understand that sometimes that has to happen, but its happening too often. Its like we don't have any transitions sorted. That side of our play has absolutely gone down the bowl.
The other thing is that when the opposition plays out we need to mark up fast front to back, that way we got a combined press.
These are just basics....

Love Ainsworth but that one result is just a bit of breathing space....got to back it up with at least a point at Stoke before you can say the squad is decent.
