As so many of us have stated I think we all understand the club is a shambles and to a degree GA’s hands are tied as we clearly aren’t backing him with anything significant.
However, the one thing I thought we’d get is desire and fight and the last two weeks we have been void of that.
His team selection and tactical decisions are down to him and mind blowingly naive at this level.
He has to show optimism in the after match interview but ultimately the longer we keep him we are just in denial that we made the wrong appointment.
If the club are not going to invest massively in the playing squad then at least give us a chance with a experience manager ffs.

More than once. I'd heard that Les always had opposed a GA appointment, but you didn't have to be a genius to work out it would be a disaster. I think he lost the dressing room early doors and once that happens you tend not to find it again. Dead man walking. We can't afford to fuck about for 12 games or whatever and see how it goes. |

stopped listening after 2 minutes which is something i never do.
totally shocked at his interview, i respect that he wants to protect the squad and take the flack but the rest of what i heard was total bullshit.
second half wasn't 'much better', instead it was much easier. watford took their foot off the gas and were just seeing out the game that'd been won for them after 30 minutes.
they looked like they could score everytime they did dial it up, not one of their players was below an 8/10 in rating because we were so woeful.
really pissed off with that interview. the style of play isn't something i expected from a gareth side. i know we have a pretty shit team but i expected the lads to fight tooth and nail like they're in the trenches together, i expected running, pressing, a lack of fear and a desire to at least win our hearts if they can't win the game.
blackpool in the prem and wycombe under gaz both played like that and they both almost stayed up despite their poor squads.
this is on gaz, don't give me the bullshit that you were working on a plan for the game as there was no cohesion or organization from the moment we kicked off.
we had multiple players challenging for balls, wayward passes, no runners, no backtracking, wide open spaces, no cover, the list can go on.
it was a spectacular game for all the wrong reasons. he's been in the job since february and had an entire preseason but has left no mark on the team thus far.

We aren't Wycombe. I don't recall any other managers making out we are such small time. It's bound to impact the players. Last 2, 3 years it's talk of top half, play offs. Now it's hope for the best, just happy to play these teams.

Now it's hope for the best, just happy to play these teams. thats one of the main things bothering me too. i love an us and them mentality like we had with warnock etc but gaz is acting like we should just enjoy it while it lasts. if we were wycombe then yes, i'd enjoy the championship while it lasted ffs but not to be arrogant here, we're QPR. a club like us should be a team that considers a midtable finish as a bad season. i don't like gaz' attitude, where's the fight? where's the passion that he was known for? where's the hunger and desire to take our rag tag bunch of goons on a run and to scalp some teams along the way. its just defeatism and its bled over into the team and the fanbase. i'm supposed to be an optimistic happy clapper ffs but he's draining the life out of me lol. |

Watford fell asleep second half. Job done. Also, given everyone and her husband lamented that selection, so if it was better second half, which isn't true, how did you get it so, so wrong? The players are pants, but the set up was shite. They ran on to us and we stood back. Midfield was a joke. And we knew it would be. Dozzell needs be given his cards. And never picked again. Field woeful too. Maybe him not being given the captaincy didn't help. |

Everyone needs to separate Ainsworth the player from the manager. How he performs as a manager doesn’t change my view on him as a player. He was a great player for us no question. But he is an awful manager. Probably the worst we’ve had ever. Critchley had a better record and we sacked him.

I hope he proves me wrong but he was the wrong man from the get go. Should have stayed on the playing football path.
That Manning would have been a better call or even keeping Critchley. When Critchley was in charge, he had more injuries to key players than Gareth did.

I genuinely feel sorry for him. He had a nice little number at Wycombe, no pressure and his level. Can’t blame him for being ambitious but should never have been given our job. We need a manager who has already done it to sort out our shambles of a club.
