Some fans actually been calling for him last few managerial changes.
He’s turning out exactly as I anticipated clueless disaster but he came across like that at Wycombe so what was the attraction.
He might have been a manager for a while but it’s been at one club in one safe environment so he’s kind of still a novice because of that he’s inexperienced. He’s simply trying to lift and use what worked for him at Wycombe when QPR is an entirely different beast.
Think few senior heads/players need go to him and say this style or ethos don’t work and it’s time for a rethink whilst time is still on our side if you want be successful.
It’s first game so its not terminal but if he continues picking sides and gameplans like yesterday we will be getting beat three nil week in week out and cut adrift by November.

He also looked lost on the sidelines yesterday kept throwing arms out like what they doing. That’s not going inspire you if your player looking over.

I would suggest last home game of season against Bristol City could have been Ainsworth listening to the players thoughts.

Manager is a leader of men.
Why didn’t he change things before HT?

The right thing for him to do if he cares about QPR FC is to offer his resignation. Whatever he is or isn't he is simply not working for us as shown by yesterday and the end of last season.

The team he picked for first half at Wimbledon with Fox and Colback in for Gubbins and Dozzell might have a chance. As Westy says, not terminal but he’s definitely a big concern.

No manager has given Kelman a sniff but he selects him first game. What’s he thinking. Was also shocked by how lazy Smyth was first half no interest in tracking back. Same chair other side.

I’ve always been firmly in the camp of you can’t sack a manager, one game into the season.
It’s ridiculous but I will say I cannot see things getting any better.
We look fucking terrible, our squad is shit, our manager is not tactically astute enough to manage us through this period and all in all we are heading for the drop under him.
If it was down to me yes I think he needs replacing immediately unfortunately.
I know the man really wants to make it work but he is so far out of his depth it’s unbelievable. I’d go as far as saying, I would take the little Welsh cunt from Luton

Prefer O’Neill took over similar position last season is young and up and coming and would fit the old strategy. Only positive if he goes is we do seem to have put a back office structure in for fitness and analysis so it’s not been totally wasted period. But if he went 6 managers, since Warburton left, in just over 12months screams dysfunctional club. A business which is continually restructuring is a failing business

The one good thing is that normally a new manager creates a bit of turmoil as got to unwind the prior managers stuff. Short of stopping the players doing a Haka, I don’t think they’ve actually been working on anything else under Gareth.

In his post match interview he’s dropped a Holloway here.
“The ones that stayed to clap the players at the end of the game were sensational,” Ainsworth said”

Respect the fans that stayed don’t get it but respect. As for some clapping flabbergasted those are the happy clappers clearly don’t care about result or performance just like watching QPR as why else would you clap.

Yeah I must admit I find it weird myself seeing people clapping off such a shit uninspiring performance. We left on 65 minutes. He’s clutching at straws with that comment really because he just wants the deluded and happy clappers to get behind him. Ironically, we are all behind him but can see he’s just not cut out for this job.

He looked shell-shocked in that interview, and totally unconvincing.
If that rubs off on the players he'll lose the dressing room.
I imagine a player like Colback in the middle will add some grit and give players a kick up the arse on the pitch.
Realistically Ainsworth will be around for at leat 2 or 3 months. Whether or not he's up to the job remains to be seen, but he genuinely cares about the club. Absolutely no benefit in screaming abuse at him.
Just hope we can get a few more decent players in and that he can pick things up.

I don't know how he doesn't know that he has to choose between the players and the fans. Needs to tell it straight. And deal with the lack of effort and application.

our board remind me of typical 18 year olds just experiencing the world for the first time "yeah, i'm going to marry my girlfriend then we're going to travel the world for a year then buy a house and settle down". its all wishful thinking and most of the time it doesn't work out that way.
i thought gaz was what we needed at the time and i hoped he'd fire a rocket up their ass, iron out the mentality issues and adapt a playstyle to suit us and the team. we saw glimpses of it against vastly inferior preseason teams but it was swiftly undone when gaz came up against tactically astute coaches in manning and ishmael along with any fight the players had left in them.
in hindsight we should have grit our teeth, brought in someone like manning and hoped for the best but also realised that if we got relegated we'd at least have the right manager for our system in place to build a team and get promoted.
its an all or nothing deal with gaz at the wheel and has already undone years of progress in the club. if (and likely when gaz gets sacked) then we're lumbered with a hodgepodge squad of different types of players. fact of the matter is we need to spend money that we don't have which means we're screwed unless a miracle happens.
i keep saying it but in previous seasons the likes of colback, fox, smyth and kakay would have made for good squad players and depth but they're all nailed on starters now along with dozzell who's not fit to play at all for us.

I just realised he brought Willock on in the 97th minute when 4-0 down.
Wtf was the man thinking?
In what universe does bringing a midfielder on in the 97th minute when 4-0 down make any fucking sense?
All it does is make him look more of an idiot and makes the player look like an arsehole and no doubt royally pissed him off.
Fucking clueless!!!

Are we in a position as a club, not just a squad, for a coach to come in and play pretty football? Can’t help thinking we need a strong manager to shake everything up and start the whole project over. We’ve not recruited the right people or players, and we certainly haven’t developed the next generation to come through, so isn’t wishing for a footballing coach to come in and change anything just wishful thinking?

i tried watching the after match interview but had to bail out in rage when he said we might have been playing the potential champions...
This Alvin Stardust tribute act needs to finish the summer season out on Blackpool pier.
Chicken In a Basket, a Pint of Double Diamond, a duet of 'My Coo Ca Choo' with Dustin Gee and a diseased goldfish in a plastic bag to take home. £5 all in.

Right in life u always big yourself up and take a job that’s slightly above your level. But he way out of his level. I mean I cut my hedge, don’t mean I’d apply for a tree surgeon job. He can play football, he can’t manage, not everyone in football can. Hold your hands up and fuck off
