Very true, for a former football hoolie you are very knowledgeable about many aspects of the game, Bobby Moore, and Bobby Charlton great players but shit managers. Don’t know if I take that as a compliment 😄 It’s meant as compliment, when I was 18ish lots of my pals were hoolies and staunch Chelsea but had no clue which players were crap or ok. You had your finger on the pulse from beginning about Noddy

I have no need to defend Ainsworth but I think the reaction has been exaggerated. We lost Bolton 0-4 at home but won next game vs Everton and survived. Let's wait for at least 3-4 games before we make conclusions.

I think the jobs being done at Coventry City, Milwall and Luton also show that you compete in this league on small budgets.
They have all been smart with their recruitment and their managers have experience and a presence that is filtered down through the club.
Our board is a mess but it’s amazing how the right man in the managerial seat can have a positive impact.
I honestly don’t think the players have brought into GA, and the feedback from the more quality players last year or suggested feedback was he was a bit of gimmick and some players were bemused.
The lower standard players are buying in as they can’t believe their luck that they are in with a shout.
GA is showing in his handling of Willock he’s out of his depth.
The crazy thing to me is I think the season is salvageable I think we can stay in the championship.
The board just need to appoint a decent manager and allow him to bring in 4-6 smart frees or loans asap.

if it wasn't for watford hitting the woodwork a couple of times, our Goalie doing his finest impression of Rinat dasayev, and them soaking their plates in maldon sea salt and matey bubble bath in the second half, we would have been done by 8.
The Camera lingered on Ainsworth and his F -troop crew mid second half when there was an extended break in play. It was embarrassing. They looked shellshocked.
All shuffling about in despair and looking to the skies in great pain as if hoping for a deity to float down on his Oort cloud with a 1957 Rothmans Football year book to update their Tactics.
With the exception of Paul Hall, (who was delivering an Amphetamine rant into some blokes ear who looked like he wanted to inject a potash of phenobarbital and apple sauce into his skull, he was so fackn bored), Ainsworth and the bloke with the Mick Belker 'Tache, looked as if they had been hit with the Rampton chemical cosh while waiting at the Hotplate to suck their liquified Mousakka supper through a Nesquick straw.
It was painful to watch. Really, really Bad.
A Broken Club Managed by The Love child of Alvin Stardust and Kirk St Moritz.
No plumb line in creation can measure the depth to which we have sunk.

Let's wait for at least 3-4 games before we make conclusions. Disagree mate. This is a continuation of last seasons shite. No pre season progress to stop the same happening again. Weaker squad. Still no striker. 5-0 loss last week to the mighty Oxford with arguably our strongest XI Can’t keep clean sheets, can’t defend, rarely score and the manager not only spouts defeatist and negative crap on the eve of the season but then declares Willock is ‘the fittest he’s been since he’s been here and is raring to go’ to then not only drop him but then to bring him on in the 97th minute when 4-0 down just shows how clueless and ridiculous he & the situation is. I really really want it to work under him as he genuinely cares but he’s so out of his depth it’s untrue. Never had a sniff of another job at WW until us idiots came calling.

Not just performance which has boiled my piss. It’s the fact he says and builds something up and there is no outcome. Talks the talk but there is zero walk.
Last season it was that it’s not my team next season they will work hard or they’re not playing. We will be high energy etc then first game of season they produce a performance the opposite of what he built up and arguably worse then anything seen last season. Don’t say it if you can’t back it up.
Also like Hughesless saying after Man City we won’t be in relegation scrap again under me, Ainsworth basically said the same last year then build up to this season it’s changed to going be hard favourites to go down etc
Total bullshit

People down the bookies have more wins than him He is basically a talking cliche without the actions of a70s 80s manager. It’s like football version of life on mars. I expect him to be wearing a sheepskin coat smoking a cigar next news conference

In his post match interview he’s dropped a Holloway here. “The ones that stayed to clap the players at the end of the game were sensational,” Ainsworth said” heard that 😂🤣 he was not referring to me I was offski before half time whistle blew. Respect the fans that stayed don’t get it but respect. As for some clapping flabbergasted those are the happy clappers clearly don’t care about result or performance just like watching QPR as why else would you clap. Genuine die hards. Can't relate to it personally but fair play to them.

His USP is supposed to be all about effort, motivation and application and yet he's even failing at that, as evidenced by pre-season and yesterday. Which would appear to leave him up shit creek without a paddle.

When the choices were e.g. Liam Manning, Gary O'Neil and Nathan Jones, but we sign Gareth Ainsworth on a 3.5 year deal, there's something clearly a bit fucked with our recruitment policy?
