I was there, got my ticket courtesy of lovely Bill Power as I'd missed out in the allocation. What a fantastic day it was. I remember one of the Parker lads running on to the pitch and getting punched after we scored our third (I think). Mayhem at the final whistle. What I was gutted about was that I'd arranged to stay in Sheffield with friends that night instead of going back to the Bush, so I missed the wild celebrations outside the Bushranger. Heard the stories of our fans arriving in each train load, hammering on the sides and cheered raucously by the swelling crowd. I was on the Bushranger balcony for the open bus parade though. Happy, happy days.

When we got back we headed training ground in Acton where coach had just arrived back and met some of the players who were steaming. Think Ainsworth was still in his kit

Remember being in the toilet for the first goal and could not tell who had scored until some bloke nearly kicked the door screaming we had scored. Great days and Mark Clattenberg pre hair transplant was the referee.

Drinking in some pub called ( i think ) the Yorkshire Grey , getting rounded up by OB , our Youth Firm kicking the doors open of the tram and trying to attack a pub full of Wednesday !Mad mad celebrations in the away end , reckon a lot more than 5k there Westie . The fella on the tannoy was cheering on Bristol City as was the home fans ,wankers .Major celebration in the pub ,smoking a huge cigar and we drank the train dry back to London .Luton fans getting on at Chesterfield or somewhere and taking the piss out of them ! Top Top day out . (Only downside was AKUTRS Dave not being allowed in by a nasty bullying steward ,he was in pieces ,such a shame for him ,felt gutted he missed it.)

They flashed the score on the scoreboard with Bristol city being 2 nil up. I thought we took 7.5 to 8k up there as we had the whole end.

I thought we took 7.5 to 8k up there as we had the whole end. yeah we did ,much more like 8k than 5k ,they even gave us the bit right up to the Wednesday fans on our left . Which the home fans took advantage of making a couple of sneaky attacks on Rangers fans while their OB just watched ,but whenever a Rangers fan hit back they waded in on him . I have to admit i came away thinking what a bunch of wankers Wednesday were ( even though i have to admit the Rangers fans were no angels that day either )

Got to say ,in my time attending Rangers matches 81 till now ,ive never known a time i felt so part of the club as then ,Not comparing it to the laughs of the 80s , fashions and culture ,but that season whoops all the others for me ! We`d come through the worst of times ,the hangers on had all fucked off , the players ,fans and manager were as one that season ! Good time to be a Ranger.

Good time to be a Ranger. there was a buzz Vesp as soon as you got off at White City. Saw Rangers fans going in the opposite direction because the games had sold out. For that period, Ollie was the man

Great days with Ollie at the wheel and a fantastic committed squad of players. Was just before money really started to take a hold on the game in this country. Take me back.

Ollie first time round I had no complaint about, right man at the right time.
Some serious characters in that squad which we lack now, hence why under Ollie and McLaren we went or awful runs. Can’t really see anyone, Rangel aside, who would rally troops??
That side had Furs, Palmer, Gallen, Shittu, Day, Ainsworth, Rowlands and Clarke etc serious voices in dressing room. We’re mute now compared to that
