Voted win for us vs Watford, slight worry with this one is fitness. Our lot aren't used to the fitness levels Thing demands, it's going to take time, and they may be feeling the after effects of actually putting in a proper shift.
Like Stan said elsewhere, there's been a suspicion that we don't do proper match fit, could explain why we've so often sat back last 30m ie they're fucked already.

Would like to see Lowe and Armstrong getting closer to Martin and showing more anticipation to his headed knock ons.
Saw some stat that Martin has 4 goals in 6 games against Blackpool.

Saturday, was the hardest the players have worked all season. personally think they are going to be too fucked to get anything out the the game tonight. 2-0 blackpool but hope i'm wrong they worked their nuts off but gareth has been managing this style for a long time so i have faith that he knows how to properly rest. one thing i did see us doing a lot of though was time wasting whenever possible so we could catch our breaths. it'll be interesting to see how we do when we have a full squad. as for field in the back 3, i remember him playing there under warbs a few times. he wasn't good then but it was a different system so who knows. i can see us lining up the same way tonight but maybe with a few tweaks. stef in for dozzell, one of the front 3 being swapped out for adomah or sinclair and finally maybe even drewe being dropped in favour of a returning paal/laird. |
