It’s a pointless job, get a decent manager. Next we be getting a diversity liaison officer, a eco facility manager. It’s just jobs for jobs sake. Think we have a couple of both already with the amount of fluff served up...

Agree Les should go but it’s too late. There will still be no money to buy players and we will still be stuck with Ainsworth. Other than saving a wage not sure his going will bring about the change fans want. Don’t trust the board to appoint a decent DoF. And even if they lucked out on someone good it’s hard to devise a successful transfer policy with no money and a manager who plays kick and rush

Don’t remember too much about Mark Devlin and his time with us. Looking at parts of this article where he talks about shedding costs after the Chris Wright era he would certainly appear to meet the criteria needed at the club now. He’s currently holding the CEO role at Leyton Orient. www.qprnet.com/the-mark-devlin-interview.html

Qpr must be the only club that rewards mediocrity. Changes should of been made by now, clearly shows the owners don't give a flying fuck about the club.

Problem is to change staff costs money, to get good staff costs more money, this board doesn’t want to spend money They're spending 2 million per month on the club (or whatever the figure is). The club needs a total overhaul, not just Ferdinand but Belk, Ramsey, Impey, Hall, Furlong etc. None of these appointments have worked out. Their problem is sacking them would involve eating a massive amount of humble pie because it would be a complete admission that their project over the last 8+ years has been an unmitigated failure. Then it would also involve research and resources in recruiting competent fit-for-purpose replacements, and not making the same mistakes all over again by going down the failed and nepotistic old boys club route.

I think yesterday highlights just what a disgrace this board at rangers are. Two clubs with small budgets with squads built on a shoestring. Neither of which have recent 15 million plus player sales. Just smart, forward thinking recruitment. In the time those squads have been built we’ve signed players like bonne and dozzell both of whom’s current clubs fans pissed themselves laughing when we did. Add dykes to that list and you’ve got north of 5 million quid pissed up the wall. I wouldn’t mind betting Luton didn’t spend much more than that on the majority of their squad and it’s the third best in the division. Jobs for the boys at rangers and the whole set up needs to change before anything positive happens here. I’ve lost all faith in any of the current board, Amit included, in being able to put that right. It’s an absolute embarrassment and people need to be held accountable but they aren’t. The resistance to this neglect needs to be a lot more aggressive and a lot more vocal but I feel there is simply an air of acceptance within the support that it is what it is. Well it fucking well isn’t and it’s time to make a stand. The product we get for our money isn’t even close to being of an acceptable level and heads need to roll. That starts with the incompetent useless cunts at the top. I’ve heard people say they feel for them having to pump in x million per month to bankroll the club. They only have to do that because of their own sheer incompetence and neglect.

The simple fact of having everybody on one site in Heston must see a big reduction in non playing staff to reduce expenditure.
When I had another look at the 2021/22 returns we had a total spend of £46.8m !!!!!! and for the life of me I still fail to see where just over £20m is being spent.

Just had a quick look, out of interest what Luton’s squad cost to assemble. Wait for it……….4.9 million quid. That’s actually less than we weighed in for dykes, bonne and the friendly ghost. That’s without all the other shit we’ve amassed. That’s a sackable offence on its own

The fact that putting things right will involve financial outlay isn’t a reason for not doing it. If they don’t embark on a massive overhaul they will be throwing good money after bad - where’s the sense in that? A business plan going forward would have to include the financial outlay and it be budgeted for - same principle as buying your car. Or, as has been said many times on here, do they have an ulterior motive for carrying on the way they are? As for eating humble pie, I think fans would at last applaud them for taking some action to show ambition.

Stan, Westy has seen Furlong working and rates him. He is too far down the food chain to be included in the Les and mates debate. Me and Westy disagree about a lot but from what he’s told me it might be a good idea to move him up the ladder.

I’m a little surprised Furlong hasn’t pushed himself further into club management or a higher coaching role, he turns 55 in October so would think any higher aspirations he may have held are gone. Fresh faces with modern ideas desperately needed at the new training ground for me. Nedum Onuha recently said about Ramsey “he was coaching the first team on how lay off a high ball by using your chest, it was something that everyone had already learnt at an early age”
