I know the timing of this couldn't be worse. But putting that aside for a moment...we've been contacted by the club regarding the new official website, and they are inviting feedback from the fanbase:
"As discussed at a recent Supporters’ Consultation Committee meeting, we are building a new website ahead of next season.
As most of you will be aware, the current site went live in 2017.
While it’s probably time for a refresh anyway, the primary focus is to improve the user journey across the main site, retail and ticketing.
Although Single Sign On was introduced back in 2017, it will come as no surprise that feedback we’ve already sought/seen has highlighted a real need to improve the online ticketing experience in particular.
So that you’re all aware:
For clarity, we are moving away from current provider Stadion and have signed up with Urban Zoo (https://urbanzoo.io/), who are another market leader in the field
The retail offering, currently outsourced, will move in-house – to be maintained by Urban Zoo on a new Shopify platform. We currently utilise Magento
We will continue to partner with Ticketmaster on ticketing, but will be working with both Urban Zoo and Ticketmaster to improve this aspect
Finally, Urban Zoo will take on the upkeep of our newly-launched app this season. You will probably see a design update ahead of 2023/24
This email is being shared with a select working group from the SCC as well as our fan sites – it’s everyone’s website and we want you to have involvement in the process throughout, especially as there are a number of you with expertise in the field who can add value to what we’re doing.
For now, though, can those of you who use our current online ticketing platform please let me know what specific issues you encounter when buying tickets online?
We’ll also continue to welcome feedback about the whole site in general – please let me know if there are any other potential improvements you can think of.
Appreciate results are especially difficult at the moment and that can curb enthusiasm – but putting that aside this is a real opportunity for us to improve things digitally.

I don’t go on the website because I don’t want to watch highlights of us getting beat all the time and I don’t want to listen to players and/or the manager talking. Get some bloody wins under your belt then I’ll bother listening to you. I don’t want to hear how things are changing and you will give everything for the shirt, blah blah blah. Just fucking get some points.

Big deal. Firstly, as Corbs says, it would be better if they stopped the partnership with parasite ticketmaster. Trying to buy tickets will still be an issue if their dodgy tech continues to be employed. Secondly, yes, it's a crap site, frustrating to navigate, what took you so long?

I much prefer our site on here. the club should allow a function for supporters to buy tickets on here or on other messageboards and to also allow official content from the club (match highlights/tunnelcam/tigercubs vids) on fans sites and messageboards. |

Yes it’s clear that the ticketing system is the biggest area needing improvement. The club's contract with Ticketmaster means they’ll be continuing with them next season, but I've been assured they'll be doing all they can to make the best of the situation.
On the plus side we can expect a new and much improved website and app with the dropping of Stadion and the new deal with Urban Zoo.

Great idea that is. Little commission for the sites too. |

The new website (inc. retail store and refreshed app) is scheduled to go live tomorrow.
Let us know here if you spot anything that doesn’t quite look right, and I will feed it back to the webmaster, which the club welcome. Whilst the club have made every effort to iron out all the creases, it’s obviously been a complete rebuild and there could be teething issues.
As stated in the OP, the ticketing site will look the same but steps have been taken to improve the experience from the moment you leave the site through to purchase – with clicks roughly cut in half.

Now live. Kind of OK, but not gob-smacked. Probably set the news page in my bookmarks rather than the home page: www.qpr.co.uk/newsShop not really integrated as such, and pretty clunky in terms of its navigation. For example, can't browse 'souvenirs' section, but have to pre-select each of the 11 sub-sections, which is pretty naff. Tickets section doesn't seem to be fully set up yet, so can't judge that. |

The ticket section won’t let you sign in. Asks you to confirm that you are not a robot but offers nothing to actually confirm this. Basically I can’t buy any tickets at the moment through the app?
