Do you believe in self-fulfilling prophecies? So it's my fault! The self-fulfilling prophecy theory is an interesting one. I guess it depends how superstitious you are. The other school of thought is by putting something positive or negative out into the ether it can create a certain ripple effect. Similar to the power of prayer for example. But that can also work to the negative, like e.g. a spell or reinforcing a negative outcome. Personally my attitude is if there's even the possibility of any substance to it then I'd not risk messing with it regarding any unwanted outcome! |
