Was 9 years old. God father drove us down there.
Muddy as hell, sitting on what resembled a pic nic bench. Met the players after in the bar.
Sad to see them relegated.

Was there when we won 1-0 from a Charlie penalty, and a blue flare on the pitch held the game up. Good trip as we have family down there, so always a good evening afterwards.

Yea only time I've been there too. Drab game. Me and some pals stayed down & had the night out there, we still joke about it being the worst nightlife in the country. There was literally 2 bars (a Spoons and some pony little gaff that sold moody vodka tasted like paint stripper) and 1 nightclub. That Paddy Madden for them was in the club & stole a bird my pal was trying to put a tail on. |

The money came from a partner, who pulled out after the deal was done. His solution was to sell the ground to the local council to clear his debts, leaving no money for players. They didn’t even have a physio til a few months ago. Now they’ve dropped into tier 6 and the only professional club in Somerset could actually fold if a deal that was on the cards falls through because of relegation at the hands of the ‘owner’. |
